Hello, Just installed the hybrid kit and i found the pump to be quite loud (a bit of a grindy noise) while gaming not an issue but on idle when fan are low pretty annoying. what do you guys think bad pump or i got one of the good ones. Temperature are real good with ml120 fans at 60% never go above 62-63. i have a corsair 570x so airflow is not that good. the card on air was hitting 78 while on the same clockspeed and fan where spining at 75%. (really loud) Now the system is really quiet the pump is the only thing you can hear. video link here: (side pannel open) (link in .png cant post url) thanks in advance for your input.

If its grinding that doesnt sound right. Do you have radiator mounted above pump? Are hoses at top or bottom of radiator?
Its not abnormal to hear some soubds like that for first few minutes after install while air moves away from pump, but if you didn't orient radiator properly the air will get trapped in pump.

Radiator is mounted above card, hoses are at card level horizontally then going up.
Shoul i try mounting the card vertically?

I get some pump whining but no grinding. I think it’s just luck. I don’t hear it over game volume.

i have the same exact grinding noise on my ftw3 with hybrid kit. vertical radiator mounted at the side on lianli o11 (hoses at the bottom, radiator above pump) but tried flipping it, kept horizontally, did two reinstallations it didn't get better or worse.

I opened a ticket send video with noise, I'll try my luck with another pump, it’s really sad because the temp and the overall fan noise really minimal. But the pump.... wow my corsair h115i is inaudible and my Samsung fridge make less noise than this lol.
I heard is because the pump always run at 100% and the only way to control the pump is to buy a cable to plug the fan pump in the mobo or use a magnet to try to slow the pump (both not ideal solution for a high-end product)
They need to change pump manufacturer or up quality control
I'll keep you updated on the process.

Yeah you’re right the second one is worse imo i ordered a cable to try to control pump via mobo to be at like 60% while not gaming and 12v max while gaming. I am still trying to rma to see if i can get lucky ( kinda scare tho i dont want a worse pump lol) might wait for the cable to arrive.
If i am not mistaken the pump will be control via the temp of the cpuif connected to the mobi ( is this possible to set a custom curve with the gpu temperature)
Also there is an optionnal fan header on the card can we try using the adpater and plug in the cable into the fan header on the card to control the pump in precision x1 instead ? (mini gpu male to 4 pin female)

Just installed the second kit (rma one) pump is way more silent (i can hear it only if i put my ear near the case wich was not the case before) im super happy glad i rma last kit. If you have a noisy pump i would suggest RMA because the pump should be almost silent
