Hi newt! Long time follower of the queue. Always like your notes that you put up along with your updates. Puts a smile on my face

In 10 days, it will have officially been a year since I put myself in the queue for the hybrid 3888-KL and 3898-KL and I just wanted to post and say I appreciate what you do. I've followed you ever since the first day I came in. A year is a long time to post updates for this and your work is appreciated.

Holding on strong for the day that I get my invite to purchase.

A year on the queues...when I first lined up for a 30 series card (in September of 2020), I never thought I'd be here in December of 2021...still waiting and watching.  Too many virtual s'mores have been consumed.  Too much salt has been spilled.  And yet...our watch continues.  I hope your preferred waterlogged card reaches you soon.

Quite a disappointing Camel Day. We may have to revisit our naming convention...moose also have humps (apparently due to their large shoulder muscles). Maybe a year of honoring the dromedary and bactrian have gone to their heads...something to think about.
 
In any case, Thor's Day hits tomorrow...let's hope it is a doozy.

Quite a disappointing Camel Day. 




The 3898 jumped from 9:25 to 9:33.  I doubt that was disappointing for potentially hundreds of people waiting for Hybrid cards.

Anyone know if you receive a notification for a card if you are guaranteed purchase?  The reason I ask is I was notified for the 400-HY-1988-B1 hybrid cooler for the ftw3 3080 ti and when I responded it just took me to the product site and it was listed as out of stock.  There was no way for me to purchase through the notify link.  Are the cards we have in the queue the same way, you could be notified and when you respond you are told they are sold out? Or are the auto-notify accessories like the hybrid cooler handled differently then the video cards in the queue? Thanks for any clarification.

Yeah I saw the email 2 minutes after it popped up.  Clicked the link, put it into my cart, went to checkout and after the text verification came it said "No items in your cart" and they were sold out.

How does one get into the queue for a given graphics card? I am obviously missing something because I cannot find where the sign up page is. Can anyone educate me? I am clueless, and in need (still on an old 970).

Unfortunately all the queues are closed so that EVGA can try to clear the queues.  We do not know when or if they will reopen.
 
There will be some upcoming new releases which will probably mean new SKUs and new queues.

On this Fabrication Friday (although Frigga Friday has a nice ring to it too (hat tip to @philipma1957)), it is important to remember that statistics can be molded to tell almost any story you want. 
 
For example, yesterday's Newzoo report suggests that "Dedicated PC gamers" (defined as those who play weekly) represent 560 million of the 1.4 million PC gamers worldwide. Of the Dedicated PC gamers, just under 33% build their own main computer, 32% use pre-built and 38% use a laptop as their main gaming PC. While Dedicated PC gamers are typically men, women account for 40% of those who use a laptop as their main PC-gaming device. And, most importantly for our discussions, Dedicated PC gamers upgrade their hardware or major components every 3.3 years. (Whereas we all know that miners upgrade their major hardware components any *%&@&$! time they want to!)
