Hey Folks,

I am looking to upgrade from my 10+ year old build.
I would like to keep as many parts possible EVGA wihle using the DIY config.
I am currently looking at a 9900k CPU and EVGA Kingpin AIO cooler as a base.
Anyone here have a similar build or any suggestions?

Thanks in advance~!

    I'd go with their GPUs, Z390, PSUs, Sound Card and along with their cases and coolers.  All you would need to get outside of EVGA is the CPU and RAM.

     Use this Associate Code at your checkouts or follow these instructions for Up to 10% OFF on all your EVGA purchases:

    Thanks,

    This is what I have so far.
    Price is a bit inaccurate since I will be using DIY config to get all the EVGA stuff and then getting the rest through Amazon or Newegg.
    I settled for the Hybrid FTW3 Ultra 2080 TI since the $500 upgrade to the Kingpin doesn't seem worth it (might as well get an RTX Titan if I was gonna do that lol).
    Any suggestions appreciated.

    if you are going to be using the Z390 dark you will have to look at using the DG-8's cases as they support E-ATX boards the DG-7's only support ATX boards

    Wow nice build! One thing I'd add is a 500GB NVMe m.2 drive for the o/s, and have the 2TB 2.5" drive for games, media, etc. etc.

    The M.2 Drive for the operating system only?
    Are those much faster than the normal 2.5 SSD's in your experience?
    I checked out some benchmarks and they were only a few mili secs faster than 2.5's.

    edit;
    I am thinking of dropping the 2.5 SDD and just getting a 1TB 970 pro m.2;

    That is true, unless you have a cut off wheel/grinder
    I put an EVGA x99 classified E-ATX in an EVGA DG-76. Had to make room for the 24pin connector, SATA connectors.
    So I cut the whole length of the metal plate that is about a half inch higher on the left side.
    Then I used automotive door guard to cover the edge. Came out very nice.

    I would go with the 970 EVO Plus 1TB and save like $100 for the same performance or go with the WD Black SN750 that just came out fairly recently. The 970 PRO has been around a bit and has lowered in price but the 970 EVO Plus is about a year newer and the replacement for the EVO that launched with the PRO. I would think you would be better off using that $100 to get like a 1TB 2.5" SSD to load games or software you only sometimes use. I think in this case it's like the same reason you said you decided against the kingpin card. In the real world I don't see the PRO offering enough performance to justify the added cost and in fact the drive has increase like $80 in the past month.

    Someone here is building a very similar build with you.  I would read this thread up and also as I stated to that member, grab this SSD as it's almost 50% off! and it's a Samsung which says a lot when it comes to flash memory (SSDs).

    To further add, I highly recommend you purchase your EVGA gear from their store and using a associate code as seen in my signature so you can get discounts on everything and save money that way, either giving you more back in your pocket or upgrading a component(s).  I usually do the latter well because, I have issues.

    Thanks for the tips guys. Am I able to use that discount code even if I am already getting the discount from the DIY config?

    When there are current discounts on products, I know the code does work on top of the already discounted item so chances are, it should work but doesn't hurt to try.
