I just got this card on friday of last week. We have started buying a few games to play. Now with the future release of the 1080ti reference card should we upgrade to it as we plan on getting a vr unit in the next 6 months or so, I know we can vr with what we have now. Is it worth it if it was you to upgrade to a reference card from what we have now. I have added what I could figure out to add in the show your system thingy lol. I know we payed 649.99 for the gpu with the free game, now what newegg did was took the first invoice at 649.99 and -59.99 for the game then on a difference invoice added 59.99 for the game so it looks like this
1Item #: N82E16814487318$649.99    1DISCOUNT FOR AUTOADD #182521-$59.99 Subtotal$590.00Tax$0.00 Newegg 2Day$15.56Rush Processing$2.99Order Total$608.55

then added 59.99 for the game of a difference invoice. Any idea how this will play out if they allow a up step to a 1080ti reference card? Do we lose 59.99 or will they allow us to take the whole 649.99 and then pay the difference if they allow us to upgrade to a reference?
Thank you for the help and sorry for being long winded I tend to do that alot.

You should definitely upgrade. Looks like you might be stuck with $608.55 if allowed to do the step-up.

Why would the send you a separate invoice for a free game? That makes no sense to me. Did you oay two separate invoices, or did you pay for everything on one receipt?

Great news, even though newegg did the weird 2 invoices, Evga will still credit me the 649.99 for my SC2 ICX card. Now to wait and see if they will allow a step up to a Ti card.
