Hi. I've got a EVGA 1000 GQ 80+ GOLD 1000W psu which started making a popping noise about 3 months ago when switched on at the plug. I ignored it but over time it has become louder. Yesterday it was ridiculously loud and I saw a flash of light come from the psu. PC would'nt boot so replaced the fuse in the power cable and it worked fine. Today, switched it on at the plug again, loud pop, fuse blown again and it tripped the RCD for my electic in my house. Found another powercable, used a different plug socket on another circut in my house and the same again. Loud popping noise, flash of light but PC would boot this time. I've had this psu for around 3 years. Any ideas?
