No, there are no custom fees added later. Those are paid for from EVGA (DDP). What you're paying during checkout (price of the card + %VAT + Shipping) is final. If for any reason the carrier asks you fees for custom clearance, then it's a mistake. Contact support.

The following message appears during the checkout process, so I guess UK falls under that category. You will most likely not get charged for %VAT. Shoot a message to them just in case though.

I have emailed them, going to paypal the charge does not get subtracted. Should not be a problem anyway, even being 12 on the hybrid list I still don't expect to get one. I have given myself an end target of July, I'll buy something else by then.

 Ah I see, well since there is a rule like that already in place for non-EU countries, they just need to adjust it so the UK falls under that as well. Even if they charge you VAT, pretty sure you will get a refund for it. Good luck!

hm, why does it need to be refunded? UK still has VAT like most countries in the world except US (which has sales tax).

???, UK is not part of the EU anymore, how long you been asleep. New rules are that any purchase over £136 will need VAT paid by the consumer to HMRC. We do not pay VAT to retailers anymore outside the UK, so EVGA would need to wafer the VAT like they do with Norway.

Most small stores offering international shipping do not charge any taxes and you have to pay them on delivery. (for example if ordering a GPU from Canadian LTT store to a EU country. Or non-EU)
Some bigger stores like US Amazon and as we know EU EVGA (at least for EU) charge the taxes on checkout and handle everything for you.
So I guess nothing stops EVGA from charging and paying UK (or any other country) VAT if they want and can do that (e.g. maybe they need to have a registered UK company for that, which iirc they have).

EVGA cannot pay VAT on my behalf if the good are over £136, I know what the rules are. I have already purchased goods below and over that price, I know what happens.

So, just to confirm:
 
I am in Hungary.
My VAT is 27%.
I put myself on teh list for the 3080ti FTW (and a bunch of others but so late that it doesn't matter, this one is relatively early).

What should I expect?
1225 euro + (0.27*1225=330,75 euro) = 1555,75 euro total (rounding to 1556).
I am told that shipping price is just local shipping, so about 9 euro plus with rounding up.
 
So would I have to pay 1565 euro total?
 
Can someone who brought from EVGA store and shipped to Hungary confirm?

In 6 months you can buy a gpu from the miners for the msrp and get one free ;)

This is not correct. EVGA will DDP this as normal so you won't pay VAT or customs on import to the UK. Under 136 requires retailers to DDP, over 136 is optional for the sender but they can still DDP so you won't get charged anything. From experience, EVGA will charge UK VAT on purchase and DDP the package from Taiwan.

I bought less than a month ago the Z20 keyboard. I'm in the UK, what i paid to evga was final...VAT(20%) paid at checkout. No other charges on delivery by DHL as u can see bellow...

what? Thar's MSRP, as low as you can get. And EVGA has nothing to do with the VAT, complain to your government. And how do you want to get a card without paying for shipping, i guess you can always go get it yourself in Taiwan.

An entire week down and of the thousands of people signed up for different cards across their range we have 7 confirmed notifications and 0 cards send for everything but the aircooled FTW3. EVGA take the piss, I'm convinced of the cards in Taiwan, every box of a card that falls off whatever moves them from storage->place of dispatch are the ones kept for EU. Getting any information from Jacob on any of the other cards for EVGA is like extracting blood from a rock. Christ.

If not one hybrid batch moves this month, then we are not getting one. Oh, been stuck on a Z590 FTW since April as well.

In my opinion majority of people who auto notified are not in our sheet. Consider this - each scalper is Evga elite member because who other than scalper can register with product.
In my opinion first 20 EU minutes were taken by some organized group which orchestrated careful attacks on particular infrastructure - e.g. login page etc. to prevent people displaying product detail where notify button is. It is common, such groups are even working here for government programs - e.g. various ecological government donations etc. - they even can spam phone lines etc.
