Oh EPYC will do fine in games that use Vulkan API  and games that take use of  UNity & CryEngine game engines.

these are very SMP friendly all their cores will be used as they have limitless SMP Support.

For the Supermicro H11DSi-NT there are tweaked biosses that allow you to OS the EPYC 7601's to around 3.6 to 3.8Ghz wihtout issues.
so that with dual 32 core to even dual 64 core CPU's will give you lots of advantages plus 8 channel DDR4-2666 ECC Reg per CPU.
that being NUMA Octo Channel for that part will give you a boatload of system ram bandwidth pretty much about 170.4GB per second, Dual EPYC destroys EPYC if all cores are used.

You just need to know what to run with it, there are always ways, at 2CPU.com this is our norm ;)
Here the H11DSi-NT a board I would be choosing with a pair of EPYC 7371 CPUs.

Here a review of it at Serve The Home:

Here info about the EPYC 7371 CPU's

Thats an interesting idea, however this server is "MOSTLY" for use within my personal company my father and I operate. We have exceeded the current server in both capacity and in demand within our day to day operations. We have 6 computers that are constantly utilizing it. However I did leave enough headroom between the RAM capacity and the CPU utilization to where i can use it as a dedicated host for game servers if I want

Well all cool man  I always loved Supermicro builds, hence why I read this and posted here  :)

Also bbeing a Supermicro user myself, I will have to admit their hardware quality and customer support of is amazing.
You simply can't get anything better that that tbh, you won't be disappointed, which is one thing for sure.

The Supermicro boards I use aren't the latest but for my needs they do all I expect from them that are these:

Supermicro H8DAE-2 + 2x 6 Core AMD OpteronDP 2435 D0 @ 12x 2.6Ghz | 8x 4GB PC2-6400 ECC Reg Kingston@ 32GB NUMA Dual Channel DDR2-800 @ 800Mhz
Supermicro H8SGL-B/F + 1x 8Core AMD OpteronMP 6140 D1 @ 8x 2.6Ghz | 4x 8GB PC3-12800 ECC Reg HP @ 32GB NUMA Quad Channel DDR3-1600 @ 1333Mhz
Supermicro H8DG6-F + 2x 12Core AMD OpteronMP 6180 SE D1 @ 24x 2.6Ghz | 4x 4GB + 4x 8GB PC3-12800 ECC Reg HP @ 48GB NUMA Quad Channel DDR3-1600 @ 1333Mhz

Won't be replacing these for quite some time
