To create remastered of both Command and Conquer and Red Alert, EA has partnered with Petroglyph, a studio which staffs many of the Command and Conquer series' original developers, making them the perfect team to recreate the original through a modern lens.  EA has confirmed that Command & Conquer Remastered has excited pre-production, with Petroglyph having already created a playable version of GDI mission 1, showcasing that a remaster of the original Command & Conquer is possible using their engine and that their remaster would remain faithful to Tiberium Dawn's gameplay. These remasters must look and feel like the originals, albeit with modernised assets and a new engine. 
 
Fans of the series will be glad to know that EA has already confirmed that these remasters will not ship with any microtransactions of any kind and that each game will ship with their respective expansions without any additional charges. At this time EA has set no completion date for their Command and Conquer Remaster project.
 

It really makes me a little bit worried when I hear a remaster say “original gameplay”. I feel it should be an option to play with the original gameplay and be just like people remember but I also feel they need to look at improvements overtime and make a game for new players as well.

I could have sworn I saw an ad for a new "C&C :Generals"  game that was set in what looked like WWI or WWII .
Almost like Company of Heroes look to it, - but I can't find it anywhere now....??
