Still EA is up 31% for the year so really not sure if it is being upset over Star Wars Battlefront II or investors being scared by a company seeing about a 40% increase in stock value over a year and pulling back a little bit. It's also a great time to start pulling back if you are an investor since every game EA will release in 2017 has been out for a over 10 days that will be released this year. At this point EA will ramp up development and until they start having games released it's all investments and money going out to developers.

Keep in mind the stock went for $81.39 a share on November 29th 2016. Now it's value is $105.49. Also we are past the release windows for new games for the year when investors normally pull back investments since the publisher is spending money on new titles. I would say that it hurt EA to have the loot box issues but I don't think that the gamers are really the cause of a $105.49 stock to dip since investors probably are not investing that much time into the news about a single title.

Yes, but if you think this is the only title that EA has with a loot box or similar type of system, you need to recheck. EA also has a mobile title Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes, which has items you can by that will cost the same for all players, but give 10-330 (random), of certain items. Basically gambling to see how many you"Win". So there will be many ramifications for EA and others.. lets see if any of those investors are into investing into other titles with loot boxes.. as i see it 3.1 billion is nothing to sneeze at, especially if your an investor.

Just speculators doing their thing. The sooner the hype market gets out of the gaming industry the faster we'll get better products. Until then this is all for show while they seek the next big thing that isn't going to benefit customers.

Not enough imo, they need some more bleeding and just maybe other big publishers will get the point this was not ok.

The stock looks to be coming back as it had a slight selloff but then came back strong Monday and Tuesday going up about 3%. Today though it's down about 0.1% which isn't much.
