Hey all,

Recently picked up an e760 from ebay to replace my dying e758. Got everything setup including Westmere mod to support my x5650 and turned everything on. However only 16gb of my 24gb (3x8gb) of ram are being detected in BIOS and windows. I've messed with timings, voltage, and low gap but can't seem to get it to recognize. I've tried swapping around the modules and none recognize when in slot 3. Any ideas? I would hate for this board to have a bad memory slot

did you try with one ram module to see if each was functional or pairing them in twos?   a test also might be to test a different set of memory to exclude the motherboard as the issue.   Are the ram slots clean?  you may very well have a ram slot in 3 that isn't functioning.

Tried with a different known good set of ram (3x2gb). Only recognizes 4gb in BIOS. Weird thing is that CPU-Z recognizes all 3 sticks

Are you running the latest bios? Have you checked the cpu socket for bent pins?

Just flashed 83, no change. In windows resource monitor it has 2gb or 8gb of ram set as hardware reserved (depending on what set of ram I’m testing with). I'll check the socket when I get back home

Issue ended up being fixed by reseating CPU in the socket.
