 DrugDiscovery@Home: CUDA app testing As some of you already know, we just started testing of CUDA Gromacs application for Linux and Windows computers.
To use it under Linux you should have Gromacs installed (apt-get install gromacs on Debian based systems).
Under Windows you should have Nvidia GPU with CUDA 2.3 capability and AVX256 capable CPU.
Also, ignore estimated running time reported by Manager as is currently set very high by me for testing purposes. 16-Oct-17 20:02:58 · more...  Discuss

Testing:

<app_config>
   <app>
   <name>gmx</name>
     <gpu_versions>
         <gpu_usage>1.0</gpu_usage>
         <cpu_usage>0.2</cpu_usage>
     </gpu_versions>
   </app>
</app_config>

One odd thing I have found on my 4 GPU Rig 4 Tasks are running but only 1 GPU looks active.

    I'll run some of these to see how it goes.  Added this project but haven't run any tasks yet...

    Just found out the hard way checkpoints are not setup... starting over on my first task but it seems to be running well.

    I have noticed that lately I am able to pause the tasks without losing progress but points are much lower.
    30-100k instead of 300k+ at first.

    Not getting anymore GPU tasks so it is hard to tell.
    Their was a issue before with restating GPU Tasks but not sure about only Pausing them.

    bcavnaugh, it won't do any good until they actually start mining. I haven't seen any posts in regards to it since March. They were planning on having the option to mine Etherium. Anyone that wants to give me free donations if/when they ever send out work units, feel free...lol
