Hi, i saw the recommended system requirement on IGN for the upcoming Doom Eternal https://ca.ign.com/articles/doom-eternal-pc-requirements-specs-minimum-recommended

They recommend a 2060 just for 1440p 60fps at high quality, and it makes me genuinly wonder if my 2080ti is going to be able to push 4k at atleast 60fps in high quality. Just so you know im using a 4k 144hz gsync hdr monitor(pg27u) and i like to push it to its true potential! So am i gonna need to wait for nextgen gpu or its going to be ok ya think?

4k gaming @ 60 FPS is about the MAX that you could expect from a 2080ti on a modern AAA game. The ugly truth that no one really talks about is that the 2080ti really is the first GPU to be able to actually make 4k gaming @ 30+ FPS possible. However playing games like Doom at such a low frame rate is not going to be a great experience. This might not be the answer you are looking for, but for gaming I would not recommend resolutions above 1440p maybe a couple GPU generations down the road 4k gaming will be possible, but right now its just not really achievable at high refresh rates (60+).

Edit: Sorry misread the OP's post.

With that said, don't think 2080 Ti can cruise at 4K 144hz just yet.  Maybe on some titles mainly less demanding games but if you're looking for the high demand triple A titles with all the bells and whistles, the next gen would be the one to wait for but than again, nothings a guarantee as we'll need the developers to dial things in and of course, see benchmarks but were ways off from that, possibly in the Fall 2020 timeframe.

It sounds like you should have no problem keeping your average fps above 60fps.  But whether you will hold an average of above 100fps with 4K HDR is questionable.  You wont be going 144Hz without turning HDR10 off due to displayport 1.4 limitations.

I think we would need to see benchmarks of the release title to know exactly but it's a gsync monitor so while you probably will not get 144fps at least it will be smooth and play well.

Use an Associates Code & SAVE 5% - 10% on your purchase. Just click on the associates banner to save, or enter the associates code at checkout on your next purchase. If you choose to use my code I want to personally say "Thank You" for using it.

This is kinda true.... OP will end up with a 4k monitor with a refresh rate somewhere around 30Hz, not exactly a great refresh rate and that of course is assuming that the GSYNC range for his panel allows for that, which depending on the model it may not.

I have finished the game and it ran super well.

Bad news tho, it crashed(by crash i mean the game completely froze) 3 times, had to reboot my system manually to fix it.

Check the upper left corner for FPS, 100FPS+ at 4K max is easily achievable on 2080 Ti.
