Does the Nu Audio have any DTS, Dolby digital live decoders.

How does it get 5.1 through optical? What decoders does it have. Is there smart volume control?

    As far as i can tell it doesn't have DTS or a smart volume like Creative SBZ software is known for. 
     
    IF you have other software for DTS, it can passthrough the NU Audio sound card.
    5.1Optical Out (TOSLINK Passthrough)

    thank you so much. I was really hoping that it did have a decoder because i game with a surround sound speaker system.

    thank you so much. I was really hoping that it did have a decoder because i game with a surround sound speaker system.

    This Card supports "surround sound speaker system" 5.1
    Output Configuration:
    • 2 Channel (Analog)
    • 5.1 Channel (Digital via S/PDIF)

    You do know what passthrough means right. The NU Audio is a Stereo only sound card, it has 5.1 Optical Out (TOSLINK Passthrough). It won't improve optical out audio quality over $10-20 onboard audio solution with 5.1 optical out. If the NU Audio came with DTS software features, we would see DTS logo on the product page or in the software.
     
    Does the Razer Leviathan allow you by pass the internal hardware/software inside the sound bar.  I see that it has 3.5mm jack and optical in option. 
     
    The audio card request is only for "audio professionals" or so called audio professionals like the "audio professional" that compared the $250 NU Audio card to a playstation of all things.
