Hi My nickname is EJ and I'm new to this form, I'm rocking an 8700k with a 1080 ti SC black and what's nice about it is I got an EK water block that didn't fit so I made it fit with a hot knife and sandpaper, I get 2.1 gigahertz on it and the power draw is insane, it's water cooled inside a small Cerberus x with an ATX power supply and it barely fits with two rads

I just removed 2 1080Ti Blacks both EK Blocks and Nickel backplates (replaced w a 3080FTW3 Ultra)....what EK Block do you have that wont fit? Too bad as I have 2 EK Blocks and backplates that are doing nothing now....tough to even sell them! Still great Cards....I have one in another build and the other sold.

Yup! I've got a rig similar to yours but my 1080 Ti does not overclock as well as yours. I get 2050 mhz before crash.

With the hybrid card I'm able to essentially max out the volts sliders (caps at 1.09 V) and can get around 2100 on the core with a scythe fan on the radiator for it and see similar consumption to around the TDP limit of ~300 watts when running a DFT simulation that uses the GPU.

Any VR users on those 1080ti's? I might have an opportunity to get one used for a decent price, wondering how titles like Alyx or Skyrim VR perform.

Dang I feel even more unlucky now... My GTX 1080Ti doesn't OC past 2015mhz without introducing stability issues.

Same here. I recently ordered a Heatkiller waterblock to give it a second life as new cards are impossible to get. I hope it keeps it from throttling and keeps temps under the thermal limit of 84C. Looking forward to it.
