Hey all,
So a while back in another post I chronicled the fact that I had melted the 24 pin connector on my AX1200. I sorted the problem and proceeded to ask Corsair about a replacement cable (the PSU works fine and I'm still using it). Tonight a I get a reply that says "We no longer have AX series PSU cables in stock at the moment, and there's no ETA available. If you've gotten the PSU with no 24 pin cable, please return / exchange it with the retailer you bought this unit from or apply for an RMA exchange with us. We are truly sorry for this inconvenience. If you need the 24 pin cable replacement for sleeving or modding purposes and can't wait for this cable to be available again, your only option is to RMA the whole unit with us. Please go to www.corsair.com for more about starting an RMA exchange program. If you're requesting for any other cable other than the 24 pin cable, please specify what type of cable you need, and we will let you know if the cable is available for shipping arrangement. Thank you." So my only choice is to do an RMA. I can deal with that but if I can avoid down time via an advanced RMA that would be awesome what with finals right around the corner (and Skyrim! I kid. I have a little more self control than that. Just a little mind you ) So I just want to know if anyone has used this option and some of the details. I'm just really worried about getting dinged for the whole amount of a PSU on my CC. I know that is a "well you should have been more thoughtful" kind of deal but any input would be wonderful! Thanks for the time and help all.

Cheers

Corsair will not charge you or put a "hold" on you unless you do not return the PSU in a timely manner.  that being said i think they run your card for a penny to verify its a working number.

Ive done 2 advanced RMAs with Corsair each time went smoothly.  So you should be fine.  They are very very good when it comes to RMAs.

im trying to return a corsair keyboard, this is what they sent me . my question , is a "prepaid label" free shipping for my faulty item , that i am supposed to send back ?

As recommended by out Technical Support team the keyboard has to be replaced.
As your concern is  downtime we can setup Advance RMA.

With an Advance RMA, we send you the replacement first and you can send out the faulty unit after.
We just require a credit/debit card charge for collateral and refunded 100% when defective
    item is returned.

Estimated charge on your credit card is US $ 199.99  and is 100% refundable upon receipt of defective item.

We can also provide you a prepaid label to return the faulty item free of charge upon receipt of the replacement item under Advance RMA.
Let us know if you wish to proceed with Advance RMA.

    Thanks,
    Nonie

    Nonie,

Hi. I am unsure of what your question is. It sounds like they are going to place a hold on your card until they receive the product that needs to be replaced. That is pretty standard procedure.

They should provide you the label. You could ask them directly, and they will probably give you the answer, but my guess is definitely that they will provide you the return label.

Hi mrshrir! Please keep in mind that this is an EVGA forum. We do not do support for any other company. I would recommend to try reaching out to Corsair's own support team as none of us here would be able to give an official answer to your question.
