I just bought a 1070Ti FTW about an hour ago, and got a very odd feeling after doing so and just realized why..
So, as I just remembered a lot of the 10 Series EVGA cards with the ACX 3.0 Cooling had over heating issues with the "VRM's?"
I noticed in the pictures of this card I bought (Which is pretty close to new) that the warranty sticker over the screw hole hasn't had it's cherry popped yet, so it would seem to me this card has never had the Thermal pad mod work done to it..
Question: Does the 1070Ti FTW need the thermal pad mod done? And if so what exactly do I need to do to make sure this card doesn't get hurt?
Does EVGA still even offer the mod kit to owner's of these cards?
Thank you for your time.

    Appreciate it guy's.
Anyway to find out when this card was sent out? I'm not even sure when EVGA stop making this card to be honest..
These cards are around 3 years on warranty I'm guessing? Paying $400 for a used card is a little yeah.. so I'm just making sure I have my ducks in a row cause I have no experience with this card.
    Thanks again for reply.

P.S: In the photos I can actually see a white, what looks like a thermal pad under the backplate through the EVGA Logo, so guess is I'm ok on that front.

Don't think so, just your purchase date on your "My Products" page..Probably fine, enter the serial number in the box on the Thermal Mod page and see what it coughs up.

The pint sized GTX 1060 3G I have only has contact with the GPU and the VRAM has to fend for itself.

The bigger dual fan variant may be different.

I am observed with video encoding using NVENC that the card is stable and seems to be carefree as to how big the queue is

My desktop uses the ThinkVision 31.5 inch P32p-20 Monitor.
My sound system is the Edifier B1700BT
