Hi. i've been getting distortion when turning down the 125, 64, 32 hz Equalizer settings. Been using 0.2.1.9 and 0.2.1.7 software. Its fine if you turn them up,  but not when lowering.  Im using the latest Asmeda driver. I've reinstalled the driver with a clean install. Makes no difference.
Any clues?

I may have solved the issue. Uninstalled the Asmedia driver and gone back to the Microsoft driver. Seems to be working ok so far.

I spoke too soon. Still got the issue when you turn down the lower frequencies. Sounds like white noise distortion for a split second randomly alternating between the speakers. Soon as you set everything back to default it stops.
Cant believe for such an expensive card so many problems and still lacking stereo mix. My old Asus Xonar stx was less hassle and had stereo mix. Disappointed.

What do you have the Master Volume set to?  If you have it set to 100%, try dropping it to around 95% and test.

Dropping it to 95 seems to have worked. Dont understand why its ok on 100% when EQ at default. Does changing the EQ cause some form of clipping?

For the original NU Audio Card, there is an internal power lock when Master volume is set to 100% to prevent the card from overvolting via EQ settings (which caused other sorts of distortion and clipping).  Dropping Master volume down a hair brings it down to a safety range where the card no longer cares if you're EQ'ing.

I suggested 95%.  I believe it's also fine at 99%.  It's just 100% that trips the power lock.
