I'm not sure if my card is defective. I've had the NU Audio (*non pro) soundcard for a month and am frustrated with horrible distortion when I use the Windows volume control or the NU Audio GUI volume settings. At 100% volume on both the audio is fine but it's super annoying to have to use my External amps volume control and not the PC/Soundcard. If I lower the volume on either Windows volume control or the NU Audio Volume it gains volume and distorts horribly.
I have disconnected my onboard Audio and have the NU Audio soundcard as the primary interface. I've not connected the front headers, its not required. I thought maybe it was because I was using the top PCI slot closer to the CPU but have since moved this to the lower slot underneath my GPU. Still bad distortion. I am using the RCA output adaptor on the Souncard which I then have a 3.5m jack going to RCA input on my external AMP.
I also notice odd spikes/latency when I'm scrolling through some websites using Firefox eg. Facebook and Soundcloud. Very odd. I've never had any problems with my onboard soundcard so this is very frustrating since I paid a lot of money for this new Soundcard.
From what I have been reading on this forum is that there a lots of issues with these cards and am looking forward to hearing a solution quickly as I do not find myself a happy customer right now.

Also to note.

My PC specs:
CPU: i3-4160
Memory: 16gb DDR3
GPU: EVGA GTX1080
Powersupply: EVGA 650 G3
OS: Windows 10 Pro 1909 (full patched to this date 7/02/202

Disabled all other audio devices except the NU Audio soundcard and have re-installed with the latest firmware

    What motherboard do you have?

I'll spend a little more time looking into this, but I ran across this earlier today, as well:  https://www.tomsguide.com/news/latest-windows-10-fail-causes-slow-wi-fi-speeds-sound-issues-what-to-do

I'm a layman with all this audio stuff so bare with me. I just had a computer built for me and had the Nu Audio card installed with it a few days ago. The quality during playback has sounded like I'm playing a scratched record (vinyl). My OS is Windows 10 pro 1909 and just now updated to the latest nu audio driver and I'm still having playback issues. Qobuz, Spotify and MediaMonkey. Spotify seems to be the worse during playback. Any ideas?

As LeeM posted above in Post #2 --> check this link for the MS patch failure

      https://www.tomsguide.com...ound-issues-what-to-do

    excerpt:
Windows 10 update KB4532695, a non-security update for version 1903 and 1909, was implemented to fix the File Explorer Search Bar bugs, but apparently that didn't work.

Instead, some users are suffering from the notorious blue screen of death, while others are being hit with crippling internet and sound issues, as reported by Windows Latest.

Just rolled it back. Restarted the PC. Same issue. Possible bad card?

I think I also have a bad card - the volume control in Windows gains and distorts when I REDUCE volume or INCREASE volume but at 100% volume it's ok. Oddly Windows Media Player Volume has no problem.
How can I upload screenshots directly from my PC??

Best way would be to upload the image to imgur.com then paste a link to it.
