Hello all,
New member here so sorry if this is incorrectly formatted!
Specs: Hi100pro cooler
16 GB G Skill RAM
1 TB HDD
250GB dedicated OS SSD
rtx 2070
EVGA gold rated 850W PSU
core i7 8700k
asus prime z370-a mobo
While playing CoD, my screen will go black but I still hear sound and PC sounds like its running just fine. Monitor displays "no HDMI connection/signal" and I have to hard restart comp to get display back. I've switched slots of the graphics card on mobo but it still happened, temp is around 77-78 when I notice the issue occur but that didn't seem too alarming to me. Any help would be appreciated!

If you have your video card overclocked run it at default settings and see if it happens, also try a different monitor cable as well. What type of RTX 2070 do you have, if its 2 or 3 fans model speed all fans to maximum manually without using a fan curve and play to see if the problem goes away, if so it could be a heat issue.

I'm having the exact same issue with my 2080Ti XC. I'm wondering if its a driver issue with MW. I reinstalled windows and it's progressively getting worse. Bench tested the card with no issues. Running EVGA 850 G3 PSU only a little less than 2 years old. The game will run for about 10 minutes, then black screen with the fans maxing out. Temps 74-76 which is well within spec. Tried switching display cables, no luck. It's seems to be an issue more and more people are seeing.

Summer heat early this year..
Loop the benchmarks for a while to make sure and try other games as well.
Black screen with fans going nuts dont sound good. Sounds like the 1080 black screen 100% fan issue from years ago.

Yes its an RTX 2070 P/N: 08G-P4-1071-KR. Fans seem to be speeding up just fine according to the curve. Have it set for them 80% at 70 degrees and 100% at 78 degrees.

I have not overclocked, running standard from factory aside from custom fan curve. Tried a different HDMI cable, happened again. Have a DP cable from Ama otw....I have the standard RTX 2070 2 fan model. Setting fans to max did not help. I can hear the fans gear up based off of my fan curve, yet I still get shut off after about 45 min of playing.

Go back a few video driver generations and try an older video driver...a much older one. Let's say about 6-8 months old.

So far for me it’s been only on CoD. I’m thinking it my have something to do with the GeForce experience overlay running. I haven’t had a chance to test this theory yet. Maybe an issue with Shadowplay

Multiple games and multiple outputs, sadly. Just opened a ticket with EVGA. This will be the 2nd card I've had to ship back to them.

Hi churst24, I am sorry about the black screen issue with COD. You can make sure its not the display cable being used, by verifying the cable is VESA certified, if your using Display Port https://www.displayport.org/product-category/cables-adaptors/ You can see if Windows Event Viewer has any Warning or Error events around the time of the black screen.
