Hi,
 
I have 2 GTX 1070, the ICX version. The cooler fins are clogged with dirt and using compressed air doesnt help. I would like to disassemble the unit and try to clean up the fans and fins. However I am not sure to how proceed after I managed to remove the backplate. I see some hexagon screws on the cover where the fans are, do I remove those? Just scared to do anything for now as I am a new to this.

    Did you look this over ?  How to apply the Thermal Pads for the 1070/1080 Cards

    If undamaged you can reuse the Thermal pads ---> TIM on the GPU Die - Must be replaced
