I'm definitely in the majority here. I haven't purchased a physical game in 5 years. I only game on my PC though so digital is a lot more practical, particularly since I don't even have a DVD drive. If I had a console, I might purchase more physical games, but it seems even that is going by the wayside.

I'd say 80/20 here. The majority of my gaming is done on PC, which for me is now exclusively downloadable content. But I still buy physical copies for the XBone.

I have an DVD drive in my tower that has not been plugged in for years as I disconnected it so that I could connect a second SSD (for hackintosh) and not need to route a second SATA. Sign of the times...

No surprise. Digital is the future but tell a place like Gamestop that.

I still buy physical copies whenever possible. Yes, I'm in the minority here. LOL.

Do physical games get discounted as much as digital games? I don't pay attention to physical disc sales, I just see all of the pc digital sales which are always crazy good. I'm also not sure how I feel about some developers charging more for physics Switch games than the other consoles.

So you know what gets under my skin? Explain the logic in this. As you know. Amazon Prime gives a discount if you pre order a new game or buy it with in the first 2 weeks of release. BUT if you want to buy the digital version instead. No discount for you. Tell me how that makes sense? I have seen this many times where digital is more expensive then physical versions. Its makes zero sense to me unless I am missing something in the grand scheme of things?

It's today's day and age of "I want it now" (digital copy) people can be playing in a hour and do not care that it costs more. If you can have patience and wait for the hard copy (and not be playing in an hour) to be delivered you receive the discount............same situation as GPU new releases.

Could there be some sort of incentive to move physical copies? I'm not aware of anything, but maybe that's it.

Of course, buy from the comfort of your home, no burning gas, no waiting in lines, the deals you find online are normally under the MSRP of the stores. The only thing I want a physical copy of is a collectors/special edition and I rarely buy those these days. I have to know I will love the game no ifs and's or but's.

I can't stand physical copies any more. After moving and having to pack up all my old stuff, I have a new found appreciation for digital everything.

I think the last physical PC game I bought was Crysis Warhead. Being an adult and not having to step a foot inside a gaming store is the best. Those places are beyond cringe.

With all this, it cuts out manufacturing costs which makes me always wonder why the $60 price tag on new AAA digital games. Shouldn't we get a slightly discounted price?
