I have bought in August 2017 the EVGA Geforce GTX 1080 FTW2 08G-P4-6686-KR.
But GPU-Z shows 6687, not 6686. The memory  clock is 11.016 MHZ without overclocking by me.
 
A few months ago, I have bought another  GTX 1080 FTW2 08G-P4-6686-KR. Now I have seen, that GPU-Z shows 6686. The memory clock is 10.010 MHZ.
 
The first card (6687) is produced in 2017 and the second (6686) is from 2018. Both I have bought in EVGA´s Shop in Germany. I have uploaded two screenshots for your information.
 
I´m very interested in technical details. Please can somebody explain, what are the exactly differences between  08G-P4-6686-KR and 08G-P4-6687-KR? Perhaps Jacob?

The 6686 and 6687 are more or less the same card. The 6687 has the memory running at 11GHz out of the box while the 6686 cards do not.

please can you give me some additional information?
 
Does the 6687 use Micron MT58K256M321JA-110 (6ZA77 D9VRL), which is specified for 11.000 MHZ or is it MT58K256M321JA-100 (6JA77 D9TXS), which is only specified for 10.000 MHZ and EVGA overclocks this to 11.000 MHZ?
 
And does 6687 use GPU GP104-400-A1 or GP104-410-A1?

I have read your Link, but I´m nor sure, whether Techpowerup has always correct informations. Techpowerup says, that 6687 has Connectors 1x 6-pin + 1x 8-pin, but my card has 2x 8-pin. So I don´t know, whether the other informations are correct and the described card is really mine...

If you are unsure you can open a  on your Card and EVGA will reply back to you.
If I had found a Link that was on EVGA's Website I would have posted it as I said above No 08G-P4-6687-KR Listed

But I have two cards, one 6686 and one 6687 and I´m very interested in technical details and so I´m interested  to know the exactly differences.

Update your 6686, then it will be the same as the 6687
This is the Only Difference

I have updated my 6686 some weeks ago.
 
yes, now I have 11 GHZ at this card.
 
But 6686 and 6687 are not the same, they are slightly different. I want to know, what technical differences they have. EVGA had sold me two 6686, but delivered one 6686 and one 6687. These cards are not cheap and so I want to know, why?
 
They are different and I want to know what differences.

Sorry to say that, but "more or less the same card" is a wishy-washy statement and don´t answers my questions.

My 6687 has Micron 7DA77 D9VRL memory and GPU GP104-410-A1.
