Looks like existing issues are mostly driver driven...not all hardware

I stand corrected!  Article said up to 50% fps gains.  The actual url got it wrong...

Title could definitely use some love. 50% FPS gain, not 50 FPS gain. Major difference going from 60 FPS to 90 FPS (50% gain) versus 60 FPS to 110fps (50 FPS).

Sounds like nvidia is directly helping DICE/EA with the overall performance, not just in drivers, by removing raytracing from items that do not need them, like leaves.

Nice to see they are working at appropriate application of raytracing to improve performance

The foliage and the destructible object parts of the video both showed a big improvement of around 50fps going from unplayable 19fps up to playable 63fps. The other parts of the video showed you are probably right that it's more like a 50% increase but that really does a lot to make it way smoother since people probably played and ran into places of the map in which it dropped to unplayable levels.

I think NVIDIA is giving them a lot of help on this.

I remember reading a post from somebody on these forums that nailed it weeks ago....

So once again DICE sucks and can't code.

    NEVER SEEN THAT BEFORE!!!

Well I sure hope this is true, because I was so disgusted with the performance.  It looked really good and made me mad I couldn't enjoy it....

What is your performance? It definitely depends on map but I and many others were surprised by how good it ran on Ultra/DXR Ultra (for me @ 3440x1440). IN the more accommodating maps I averaged in the 40's and 50's and got between 60-70 on more sparsely populated environments/areas. That's on multiplayer; single player was slightly better.

Happy to see this was at least done in 1440p and not on 1080p as previously shown.  Now add 10-20 people in the scene during a fire fight, heck add a vehicle too and let's see the FPS count.

I'm not trying to knock this completely as I'm glad they are both, Nvidia and Dice taking this seriously but it's obvious as other's have said, waiting this generation out should show more improvements and hopefully enough time for many devs to code this stuff in, on top of more efficient and powerful GPUs in hopes at a better price range.

The title of the article as well as the title of the NVidia video both state 50%.

While it may be greater in some areas, it isn’t in all areas. Most of the areas that you can see the huge FPS gain probably had RTX removed completely, which would be a huge increase in performance.

I think the 50% is correct I just think the bugs are really killing the frame rate to the point RTX seemed like it was not ready for use.

50% performance increase doesn't just happen if by magic. Something is going to be compromised in the process.
