So I have a Dell S2417DG  24" monitor with a native resolution  of 2560 x 1440 at 165 Hz(with overclock) arriving Friday. I have also ordered the Nvidia 3D Vision 2 Kit. This will be the first time I've owned a G-Sync monitor and also first time for an active shutter 3D system.  So I am curious if my SLI rig can produce that fast of a display and if so, will it do so in G-sync mode as well? Will be using Display Port of course.

That is me in the picture, anyone else ever pet a live Lion?

    Hello MhzManiac,

970 SLI is very strong still and is great for WQHD 2560x1440 however G-Sync does not work while using 3D Vision. They cannot be enabled simultaneously due to the two technologies conflicting with one another.

Thanks , So if I used the keyboard shortcut to turn on 3D, I would need to be out of G-sync mode or would it be toggled automatically?

Also is 165HZ possible at 2K? I know 144 is possible, just do not know if it will go higher.

If it's the same as the FTW below, no problem.

    RESOLUTION & REFRESH

Max Monitors Supported: 240Hz Max Refresh Rate, Max Analog: 2048x1536Max Digital: 4096x2160

I think you need to turn off gsync manually.

I also had dual 970s and I own rog swift with 1440p resolution and 144hz refresh frequency and I can say that these two cards are now too weak for such display. I dumped one 970 to aftermarket and wait for Ti.

So got it up and running with 2560x1440 @ 165hz and works great. Nvidia 3D Vision looks stunning although it drops it back to 120HZ. G-Sync runs games with no tearing. This monitor is razor sharp. Glad I bought it.
