Trying to get DG Tuner to work with my DG-86 case and I am getting this error. Noticed some previous posts quite a long time ago with this issue, and one suggestion then was to reseat the USB 3 cable, which I've done a few times without a remedy.
 
The DG software was working for me for a couple hours after it updated firmware, then it stopped working with the same error message again. I've since completely reinstalled windows, formatted my drive and started completely fresh to see if that worked but still getting the same error message.
 
One thing it seems to get stuck on is the updating of the firmware, it sits on that box for a few seconds before vanishing and bringing up the USB error message. Is there another way to update the firmware? Or any other way to fix this issue?

Yes that is one of the posts I mentioned in the original post, but all my USB connectors are attached to where they should be and I've tested all four and they are working as they should.

Yeah, everything connected. Ticket with EVGA ending up with them sending me a new control board to install, slightly concerned with installing that myself, but getting a mate to come over and help so here's hoping that fixes it.

EVGA Knows about this issue as post under this Thread Windows 1809 with DGTuner v 1.0.5 and is working a fix.

Yeah, following the link & reading the post the link leads to clearly doesn't tell the op anything. 

So its November and i still have this issue, what gives?

Just switched MB/CPU, still same issue, wasn`t really expecting it to work but had a tiny bit of hope.
 
Just wish EVGA would gives us update/comment on the issue.

The DG-86 will not run version 1.05 or 1.04 so it would seem to be a different issue since the problem you are referring to also involves having the RGB controller.

That was posted over a month ago now, but ok.

uninstall that update or revert back to the previous version of windows...
version 1803 everything works fine
version 1809 is when the toilet flushed...

MY DG-87 CASE work on 1803 everything ok,but up to the 1809 windows is not work;

Microsoft pulled the 1809 update due to problems..You should get rid of it and go back to using 1803 again, for now.

we now have a software update for the DG-7 cases with Version 1.0.5.1 BETA,
when is the DG-8 series case update going to be available?

Took them 2 months to fix problem that take around 30 minutes to fix for DG7 cases. We will wait 1 more month to get fix on 1.0.3 for DG8 cases. I suggest you to go back to 1803 or use speedfan program.

I restored my computer to 1803 from the 1809 within 10 days of the initial release of 1809...
I'm just waiting for the fix from EVGA for the DG-8 to be released before taking the plunge back into the murky waters of 1809 again...
what makes me troll is the possibility that the next major release for windows may create another software failure of the evga software for both the cases once again  :)

FWIW, I've had this problem for several months as well. It's something to do with Windows 10. I know this because I have a dual boot Win10/Win7 system and the software works fine in Win7. The Problem predates the latest Windows 10 Update.

I have been using version 1803 since the release of that version with the DG-8 case and hadn't had the issue until version 1809 was released in October (October update). I restored version 1803 after having the noted issue before the window for restoring to your previously installed version of windows had expired (10 days from installation) and everything works as intended again. I reinstalled 1809 after the update (2 weeks from the original release) and the problem reoccurred to which I restored windows back again to version 1803, for which I have again had no further issues with the DG-8 software. In the aspect that the new version of windows created the issue is true, but I would remind all the software individuals that Microsoft has a restriction on timing clocks that are to be followed if the software is to remain compatible with newer versions of the operation system I.E. windows 7 to 8 to 10. If we are to be having to wait for software to be reconfigured each time a change in the OS may change the "presumed" shortcut a programmer may have taken to configure their timing routine of their software, then maybe we should be looking at having the hardware replaced that the software is running...  such as no longer using the case we are having the issue with!

Im on 1803, ive DL the beta for the DG7 yet still getting same cant find usb hid device. What am i doing wrong?
