Are you running any other software to control other lighting? What are your system specs (gpu, fans, AIO's ect) - you might also contact the G-Skill tech support directly about this. What version of TridentZ_RGB

From what I have seen a lot of these different software packages are not playing well together, example - if your running LED control software for the GPU your AIO software becomes unresponsive ect. From what I gather part of it is they are all trying to talk to their intended device over the SMB bus and things start to fall apart

    Read number 5 here: https://www.gskill.com/en/download/view/trident-z-rgb-control

They say "install" but I think they meant run

Thank you for your time and advise
I am running a Brand new build and a fresh format
I am running evga's GPU and CC led software so I will un-install this and give your suggestions a try
However I am reading the the most of the conflict comes from quad channel RGB ram on any X?99 MB
I remember having problems like this with my older X99 evga MB and the problem was never solved (Corsair LED ram)
Never the less I am super stoked to be back on the X?99 wagon and so pleased with my "DARK" MB
    Super fast, super smooth looking

    best regards, Rick

I am having this issue on the Z270 Classified K. The software will open when you use slots 1 and 3 but not with slots 2 and 4 filled not got a clue on why this is but the EVGA Techs are looking into it

Is there any resolution to this?

I have just bought a X299 Dark, and I am in the process of choosing RAM. I want 4x8GB DDR4 3200 MHz CL14. I was considering:
    1) the Trident Z RGB https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/6stQzy/gskill-trident-z-rgb-32gb-4-x-8gb-ddr4-3200-memory-f4-3200c14q-32gtzrx
    2) the Team Xtreem 8Pack Edition https://www.overclockers.co.uk/team-group-xtreem-8pack-edition-32gb-4x8gb-ddr4-pc4-25600c14-3200mhz-quad-channel-kit-black-my-094-tg.html or
    3) the Corsair Vengence RGB https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/gGNv6h/corsair-vengeance-rgb-pro-32gb-4-x-8gb-ddr4-3200-memory-cmw32gx4m4c3200c14

Any suggestions or experience of these?

    Thank you.

FYI my X299 Dark is running with 4 x 8gb of Trident RGB 3200mhz oc to 3400mhz with no problems with performance or RGB control. Just want to add that the only other RGB are from the Evga Hydrocopper.

Edit: Bios is set to Xmp

Good to know that you got the Trident Z RGB working 1) as memory and 2) you can control the light show to suit personal preference.

if you only have 2 sticks of Ram try using them in slots 1 and 3 then try the G.Skill software, That worked for me on a Z270 Classy K, but I put the sticks back to slots 2 and 4 and nothing
