Earlier today, CD Projekt Red released their latest trailer for Cyberpunk 2077, showcasing spectacular visuals for their upcoming first-person RGB, Cyberpunk 2077. Now, Nvidia has confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077's latest trailer showcases footage from the game's PC version and features ray-tracing, thanks to the company's partnership with CD Projekt Red. Furthermore, Nvidia has confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will feature four types of ray tracing, as well as DLSS 2.0, Nvidia's AI image upscaling technique. These additions will help Cyberpunk 2077 perform well on Nvidia's latest graphics cards and look fabulous while doing so. Cyberpunk 2077 will utilise the feature set of Microsoft's DirectX 12 Ultimate API to deliver ray tracing on PC. These visual enhancements will not be available at launch on the game's console versions, thought hey could arrive thanks to the game'#s promised Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 Updates.

Originally scheduled for a September release the game has been delayed 1-2 months. It's going to be a fantastic game.

The trailers look really good and even if people are not able to use Ray Tracing right now on the game knowing that in a couple years they will be running it with max settings will give the game a long life while still looking amazing.

Nice since the publisher owns GOG.com so more money will go into making games like this in the future.

I must admit that I pre-ordered the box, my second pre-order ever, with the first pre-order being Far Cry 2 in 2008, which was also a box (and a physical copy as well, unlike C2077). I shouldn't have done it, but I wanted a Box O' Goodies to go with my three Witcher Boxes O' Goodies, and didn't want to somehow miss out on the production run.

I wanted to give my money to CDPR, but unfortunately they aren't selling the box themselves.

Will EVGA provide this game with a GPU purchase🤔

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.

Certainly I'm not the only one that noticed that, for the first time since I've been buying GPUs, NVIDIA stopped including new AAA games? It's been over a year...the last game bundled with a GPU was Wolfenstein: Youngblood.

Lotsa stuff that's p***in' me off about the GPU situation lately....and also the PC hardware situation in general. And the games situation and, actually, a lot of other situations as well.

Sounds like you are growing up.  It happens.  There's a South Park episode all about growing older and becoming cynical.

That's part of it, but it's becoming more knowledgable, not more cynical. I was speaking facetiously (hence my use of the "folksy" grammar), but since you bring it up: To suggest that the only thing that has changed is us...and that everything in general is the same as it always was is demonstrably false. For example, the fact that AAA games are suddenly no longer included with GPU purchases for the first time in....what? It was at least 11 years, since 2008 is when I built my first gaming PC. That's not a change in perspective, it's a change in reality.

GPU prices? The lack of real competition for the first time in over 20 years? Not me...those are real and serious changes. The purchasing of all of the AAA studios by the big "publishers" and the Great Consolization of 2008? The shift to always-online, "Games as a Service", monetization, and Pay-to-Win game design? Sure, everyone gets older, but that doesn't change the fact that there is a lot of rottenness in the gaming industry that either wasn't there before, or didn't exist at anywhere near the levels of today.

The idea that everything is always as good as it always was, that things don't sometimes get better and then sometimes get worse, and that the only thing that could possibly be bad is a person's outlook is a fallacious viewpoint.

Nvidia don't need to give top games away to sell their product.

I don't think NVIDIA needed to give top games away for the previous ~15 years either, but it did. I just wondered if anyone else noticed that something that was a fact of life for a long time suddenly ceased.

It also happened to occur at the same time that GPU prices shot up by ~50%, for the first time since I started gaming.

Also, this is the first time I've ever seen GPU prices stay the same 18 months after release. No drop at all.

And also at the same time that NVIDIA, for the first time since I started gaming, is selling cards with expensive capabilities that the majority of its customers didn't ask for and have no desire or even ability to use. With 4K, high frame rates, VR, and MSAA that is much more expensive (and far worse) than it was with Forward Rendering, gamers need raw horsepower, not RTX ON.

What all this means is that we really, really need some competition. I hope that AMD can rise to the occasion, and that Intel really is bringing something to the table.

But we don't want to take this thread off track.  Does anyone think/assume that there will be an enhanced update for PC along with the PS5/X Series enhanced version? I guess it depends on exactly what is being enhanced, but I'm hoping that, at the least, it might be like GTA V in which there are things beside pure graphics that are updated, such as NPC/traffic density.
