Anyone interested in custom 1911 grips?

A buddy of mine asked me to make a set, and I think a few people her have shown interest over the years.  Stabilized burl wood, matched book-end.  I just spend the better part of today analyzing the drawings and it looks quite "doo"-able  (pun intended)

Just let me know if you are interested.  I have always wanted to make some, but I don't have a 1911 to try them out on.  My buddy does, so that was the missing link.

... actually it just dawned on me, I can make a matching sets.  A fighting knife with matching 1911 handles.  now that is some custom work there.  Don't mind me, I am just day dreaming at this point.

I'd be very interested. Do you have an idea for a price yet? Also, it would be helpful to know which model 1911 you tested the grips on; there are several different shapes for the grip, and I'd want to be sure they'd fit. The one fearpoint posted is identical to what I have now, incidentally.

I know you've been busy Nate, but have you had a chance to do any prototyping on these?

honestly not many people have shown any interest so everything is just sitting in a pile on my shop floor.  I have done almost all of the CAD/CAM work, all that's left is enough interest and I can make a batch of them.

That's because people like striker fired pistols more.
