My GT 610 is current on all downloads and drivers.  Can I replace the GT 610 with the GTX 670 and then download drivers?

No need to reinstall the drivers if you aren't having issues. Just replace the 610 with the 670, and you'll be good to go after windows initializes the 670.

    bob16314 and Sajin,
Thank you for responding so quickly to my e-mail.

Update Replaced EVGA GT 610 With EVGA GTX 670 Graphics Card in a HP a6400f Pavilion Desktop PC.

I downloaded the current drivers for my EVGA GeForce GT 610 2GB Graphics Card before installing the EVGA GeForce GTX 670 Superclocked 2GB Graphics Card in my HP a6400f Pavilion Desktop PC.

When I finished the replace (GT 610) and installation (GTX 670) I went on NVIDIA’s website and under GeForce Drivers clicked the Auto-Detect Your GPU (Graphics Card) option that scans and detects any re-sellers or manufacturers of NVIDIA GPU’s (Graphics Cards) in a computer (my EVGA GTX 670).  When the scan and detect finished it listed the latest drivers to download for my (GTX 670).  Because I downloaded before replacement and installation I had the latest drivers recommended. I restarted my computer and the EVGA GTX 670 worked, no problems, and that was 22 hours ago.

Problem:  Auto-Detect Your GPU failed to detect my Java version was current.
Solution:  I clicked on re-scan and it detected my EVGA GTX 670 Graphics Card.
