I'm not interested in gaming for this card.
I want to know what is the best card for crunching numbers in BIONC > Seti at home.
I'm using Windows 10 and I did call EVGA about this and their cards are setup mostly for gaming.
I want a video card that does parallel processing that runs on Windows 10 and BIONC.
I'm willing to spend up to $10,000 for this card.
Any suggestions would be helpful.
I already have 4 computers running BIONC, 2 have EVGA RTX 2080 Ti Ultra (1 is the Hybrid and 1 is the air cooled), 1 computer is  has a EVGA 1080 Ti FTW3, and the last has a 1080 Hybrid.
This is for my new build. I already have a EVGA X299 Dark motherboard, 1600W PSU, 64 GB ram so far.
This will be my first water cooled computer that is not a AIO.
So, I any suggestions on what company to buy the water cooled parts would be nice.
This system will be mounted on a Praxis wetbench.

Here's a list from SETI themselves. I don't know much about high end commercial cards and SETI uses optimized apps that can skew the numbers. They don't even mention them here.

    Good luck with your build.

    @jfw06013
You are best off correcting to BOINC or ty_ger07 will derail this thread and so on.
A simple PM from ty_ger07 could have been sent to you to correct this typo but ty_ger07 would rather post in your thread to make you look bad.
Team Members are not going to nit and pick at your Thread over a simple typo we all know what you are taking about.

For the most part I use Koolance Water Cooling Parts and order from https://koolance.com/.
Sometime I do order from https://www.performance-pcs.com/ as well when Koolance is out of stock.
While the RTX Cards Fold Really Well they do not run all BOINC GPU Projects. Somewhere is a testing the team had done but not sure where.
Most BOINC GPU Apps run much faster and is a good BOINC GPU card to run over the GTX 1080 Ti Cards
You can run 2 Seti Tasks Per GPU as well and for greater speed 1 Task Per GPU.
A pair of RTX 2080 Ti Hydro Coppers would do well in your new X299 Rig with a 44 Lane CPU.
I would run two Loops to keep the best lower Temps while Crunching, not the same as gamming and you do want the best 7/24 Cooling.
GPUGRID just added a new app that runs on the RTX and GTX Cards but the standard Short and Long Apps do not.
On your Case, if you are going to use LM on the CPU on top of the IHS I would keep the motherboard Level.
I use Thermalright TFX 6.2g 14.3W/m-K (Straight Line Method) now on all other Case types.

I contacted NVIDIA about crunching BOINC ( i.e. Seti@ Home) as the best cards to use.
They pretty much said to buy the RTX 2080 Ti ( or the Titian) if you are using Windows 10.

But others will do well as well!
The 2080 and even the 2070 and the newer Super Cards.

The 2080Ti is a good performer but not best bang for buck. There are more optimized apps for 20 series cards you can download so of possible a 2060 Super or better is ideal.
I hot like 20 seconds max per work unit on a Cuda 90 based custom seti app on a 2080ti and similar gains on a 1080ti vs the standard Cuda 50/60 app.

I know the RTX 2080 Ti is not the best bang for the buck but I also game too.
Some of my decisions are guided by what I want and not what I need (and what I can afford at that time).
So Monday I will be receiving a RTX 2080 Kingpin Hybrid, defiantly not the best bang for the buck.
Who knows maybe next year I may order a RTX Titian, just because I don't have one.
    More money than brains .

I can't wait to see your results.
Obviously I'm not to judge on cost/perf as I run 3 1080tis exclusively for folding and 2 2080tis for gaming/folding.
Just dig up the Seti contest thread for instructions to install the cuda 90 client.

I did not know EVGA had a SETI team.
Tell me something to compel me to switch.
I rank 12th on SETI.USA (last time I looked) and I really don't like to join teams but I joined that one to compare with other people crunching SETI.
I've been with that team for 14 years.
I tend to stay loyal to whatever team I'm on.
So, tell me something to compel me to switch.

Regardless of where you Crunch or for who, thank you. We are all here to help and about eight years ago next month we started this team as a way to help each other and humanity at the same time.

Some amazing folks like those that you see on the forums and on our list of those that have helped us (Like Punchy, Tank, Viper, Orange, Yodap, Bill, Rjbelans, ECT..) have all helped this very small but mighty team go up the world ranks in 57th place. No carrots, not $$, just raw dedication and desire to help others we will never know or meet...

For GPUs, I think the best GPU currently on the market for crunching single our double precision is the RTX Titan.
Problem is, that not many projects on Boinc use double precision, and even if they do, they're not going to make use of all the processing power of the Titan (let alone the Tesla V100, which is twice as expensive at $5k, but even faster)
You're much better off, getting an entire PC, with 4x RTX 2060 Super cards in for the same price as a single RTX Titan.

If power consumption becomes a problem, the RTX 2080 Super is probably the best buy (4 of them per pc).

But if money is not an issue, get one of these $100k servers!

Sounds more like Mining for Coin thinking, read what the OP is running (SETI).
Only MilkyWay@home Supports Double Precision ATM. The RTX Titan is not the best Graphics Card for running BOINC Graphics Project for the cost.
Any Graphics Card is fine to run all but a few BOINC Projects.
RTX Graphics Card do NOT support all Projects but some like GPUGrid now has a new app to support them and still no support for Asteroids.
