Hi,
since a few weeks, I own a 900D. It's not my intention to bash Corsair in general, it's just that the build-quality (I'm aware that I'm not bought a Case Labs) is not what I expected from them. I won't go to far, but it's not that good in several aspects for over 300 bucks... I like to know what you guys think about that.
Regards,
C.

P.S. Any experience with cases of Phanteks?

I was stuck between a Corsair and the Phanteks cases last I built - in the end I went Phanteks.  I believe Corsair has been slipping on some quality lately and just riding on the name.  I've got 2 Phanteks cases an Enthoo Pro M and also an Enthoo Primo waiting for my next build.  I've been happy with both of them - the Pro M is a little flimsy - but it was under $100.  The Primo is a beast, super heavy duty, and still not all that expensive compared to some.  I've also had to contact their customer service once before - and there was no issue with that either.

There's no way I could see spending the money that Lian Li or Case Labs charge - no matter how well they are built.

IDK, I've had Lian Li before and would get again if they ever built with water cooling in mind. It was probably the best case I've ever had and the motherboard tray was very useful.
Edit: I should say if they ever seriously built for water cooling. What I've seen so far for WC, for me, has not been too exciting.

Wacky, what about the Enthoo Luxe... Glass? - I had the Primo (SE, black-white!?) in mind, but it's a big (thing) like the 900D. - The seller will take it back because it's warped.

    rlb, I had LL-cases too. ; )

I HAD two of them one is still in my closet collecting dust.
For me the Metal was to thin and bent to easily for my linking.
The case I found and really like is the Thermaltake CORE W100 Extreme Water Cooling XL-ATX Fully Modular Full Tower Computer Case
I would post some images but that upset other forum members so you will need to use Google.

NICE!  I have the Primo SE Black/Green.  I think the Luxe is a very good looking case and I do like the hinges for the side panel.  I am not a fan of glass - for fear I will do something stupid and break it!

Most of Corsair's cases are built pretty solid.  The 900D is their largest case and has been known to be rather flimsy.  In my opinion Phanteks makes very nice cases equal to or better than Corsair's best.

Obviously the Phanteks Elite would be your best bet as far as quality goes, but at an outrageous price.  Their Luxe Tempered Glass is one of my favorites and can handle a decent water-cooled build with room for good sized radiators.

At the time, the 900D was the best when it launched unless you went CaseLabs or LittleDevil. Now, not so much. Other company's are now very competitive in the case market meeting and exceeding what Corsair can do.
While I love my 900D, I would not buy another one. I bought it back near when it launched. Personally, if you are able to return it, look at CL, or LD.

loveha, I just saw The Anticolor... pretty good setup (+ the bottom side door is damaged, was that from the beginnig?).

I like the 900D and my setup is allready built in, but it's not well made and that's a shame... but the bottomline of it is, that every item has something these days. I read in another forum that (for example) an Enthoo Elite has some issues (manufacturing etc.) too. And I'm happy for every C. L. owner, but that price class is a gpu for me, not a case. Okay, I don't wanna say never, but not this time.

Thank you. Put a lot of time into it this time actually drilling the holes for the reservoir and pump. Before I would just use double sided foam tape. Thought about running hard line tubing of some sort, but I'm more into the performance of the build than the looks. I also had 10' of the tubing already. Just wanted to use it up.

I had to get a parts request for a new side panel and bottom side door. They both arrived damaged. Window was all scratched up when a drive bay somehow came loose. I'm guessing the door was damaged in assembly. No idea how that would happen in shipping. Just to lazy to change the bottom door lol.

My side window (allready replaced) was scratched too and the bottom door did not close properly. But I allready moved my Hardware in the 900D (took me a whole night without routing...) and I'm not in the mood to do that again with another case. From my experience, there will be something wrong with it too. Meanwhile I wanna keep the Obsidian. How did you illuminate the bottom of your case?

P.S. I had an 800D for six years.

The light is more on the yellow side, not quite as white as I would prefer. With the stupid tinted side panels case makers think looks good, it doesn't matter though.

you can also get 12v led strips at your local auto parts store or even walmart. they will need a connector on the end but they look great and are quite durable.
