Does anyone here use the Corsair Hydro Series H100i v2 CPU cooler? This is my first time using a water cooler (been using air in the past), so I'm pretty noob. What is the recommended setup for this cooler with the DG-86 case? Front as intake or top as exhaust? If I use it as front intake, should I take out the two front EVGA fans and move them to the top as exhaust or leave them there in the front too? And if I mount the radiator and its fans to the top of the case as exhaust, I don't need to buy extra fans in the future for the top of the case right (ie. the radiator fans will be used as whole PC exhaust?)?

Any mounting tips would be appreciated greatly. Thanks!

    Hello,

personal preference is to mount the radiator to the top of the case and set the fans to exhaust keeping the front fans as intake.

Where to position the radiator is entirely up to you.

Nice advice. Took a bit of time and tinkering, but I've managed to mount the rad and its fans at the top as exhaust like you suggested. Thank you.

I would say top to push out the hot air. At the front you are taking the hot air from the CPU cooler and pushing it into the case and over your GPU. Since it's water cooling the warm case air will not have a great deal of impact on the CPU but if your GPU is air cooled then it's better to have as much cool air as possible.

You are really though already dealing with the direct heat from the CPU so a lot of the problem with case heat is already dealt with. While it would be best to push the hot air out and bring in cool air into the front the difference is not as big as if the whole system was air cooled.
