Good lord, a wall of text. Hope it helps someone!
Great write up  and thank you Two times today so far (now noon, east coast) I have had to delay a conversation due to IT guys needing to do their job on the other end of the conversation. (not here ) Both my Wife and I have jobs that are considered essential. She works in a large and very busy grocery store, I am an HVAC tech. I sometimes put well over 350 miles on my truck per day and stop to refill my truck and myself at various places (no avoiding that). I have been bringing lunch, snacks and water, wearing gloves and sanitizing everything. However, what if I do bring something home to my wife? That could and probably would be bad for all the customers at her store. Reverse it. If she brought it home to me, that would be bad for my customers. Thursday, I came home with a fever, uncontrollable coughing, aches and pains etc. Just a cough now with fluid in my lungs. Probably (hopefully) just a respiratory infection but I cant even get through to my PCP Here is a map of my travels for work over the last month.

Keep calling your PCP every 5 minutes and call your county health department as well. Good luck.
+1 on the take care. Keep trying to reach your doc, and failing that, call emergency services and tell them you can't reach your doctor and what your symptoms are, they will advise you from there.

I am an essential worker as well...and we are the front line to this situation. I understand what you are saying Afterburner if my humor offends anyone my apologies, but i like to stay positive to this crisis. Eventually we will overcome it as soon as possible.

Unfortuantely I've heard some bad things about the toxicity that comes with that hydroxychloroquine, some pretty harsh side effects (severe liver damage being one) and even fatalities if too much is administered. Also read that there are mixed and inconclusive results with its usage with COVID-19, like only effective in maybe 25% of cases, and some of those might be because they would have got better on their own - that's why they need to be careful with it. I can't help but wonder if the reason it's being pushed already without reasonable research is that it's cheap, and there's a stockpile of it that Bayer are happy to offload (I think it's Bayer, or maybe Teva.. one of them). I'd be hesitant to take it when there are other options that, at least for the results that I have read about, are safer and more effective - Remdesivir being at the top. Strangely enough, the US military have apparently already signed up for Remdesivir use, so I have to wonder why this hydroxychloroquine is being offered for everyone else.

I'm seeing 616 recovered cases. 1054 deaths, and 67,549 cases still active in the US Granted I'd assume people can die of the virus faster than they can recover, so it's not a good way to get a mortality rate, just comparing recovered and deaths, and ignoring all current cases. I've seen a 20% hospital rate from WHO in their FAQ: https://www.who.int/news-...tail/q-a-coronaviruses (under should I worry) and a 3.4 % fatality rate when I've tried to look it up online (trying to find a more direct and up to date source) Edit: more info on US mortality rate etc, dated march 18th from CDC: https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/.lumes/69/wr/mm6912e2.htm

had to release your Post from filter .. sorry for the delay Yes it will get worse ... before it gets Better Why: 1) More testing = bigger number of Reported cases 2) the people who Did not or Do not head social distancing are still possibly spreading the Virus .. or exposing themselves to it 3) You might have been exposed 12 days ago & not have symptoms ... Yet

You are referring to WHO with a number of 51914 when every news station is stating how USA just surpassed China which they are at about 81K just demonstrates how WHO is not up-to-date with their statistical information. Next, you do not use the number of total infected because that includes people that are still infected, people that died, and people that recovered. Because a survival rate pertains to the outcome being those that survived and are not infected, and also those that died from the coronavirus; the value of people that are still infected have no weight on the calculation. You take the people that recovered and divide by the combined total of people that recovered and people that died in order to determine the survival rate. Please refer to the math I did in my prior post.
