Hello, as mentioned in the title I will cool my gpu with nzxt g12 and corsair h55. This card has been RMA replacement as god knows what happened to original one. This gpu that they sent me I cannot any coil whine which is great compared to old one that O could hear through headphones. With every good thing also bad thing occours.. fan whistle and I cannot find any replacements on web/ these specific fans so I ordered nzxt g12 and I already had spare H55 so I suppose that is cheaper and more efficient method hopefully. My question concern is do I need heatsinks for VRMs or will they be able to get cooled enough by 92mm fan nzxt provides with their g12 and if so would I need to open gpu even more then 4 spring loaded screws and take out some stuff? I really dont want another broken gpu any comments or pictures would be great help for me as I am doing this 1st time. Thank you all for taking time to read this :)

The "Cooling plate" ---> "Might offer enough cooling" to the other parts of the card - if it can maintain proper pressure on the thermal pads - You'll need to test it & watch the temps to be sure

I have two 1080 Ti FE with the G10 and Kraken AIOs. Neither have VRM heatsinks, just good ventilation and two large side case fans blowing over them. Been running the original like that since the 1080 Ti step-up got me one (going on2 years now?).

Just have adequate ventilation, a fan blowing over the VRMs, and you'll be fine.

I did mine last week, i had a spare TT cooler laying around. No rear or front plate attached and the VRM's went down from 68c ish to 59-57...

***Also note the the 4 inner screw holes that are part of the front plate that sit under the pump may restrict it from touching the gpu. (jayzTwoCents video on Youtube) will show exactly this .  You can either go with out the plates or get creative...

Gpu on idle with stock clock and settings hovered between 42-51
Gpu under load on Stock settings with standard fan curve saw temps 62-78 on most common benchmarks.

Since AIO mounted, idle temps between 26-30 and so far on 5005mhz Memory and 2025 clock, 1400rpm on fans mounted to rad,  with heaven BM and pretty much any game i play including GR wildlands, pubg, GTA5 etc, the Gpu never exceeded 42c..
