Today i played Control and after exiting game to desktop i had 2 errors in event log.

2 errors.
1.display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered
2.The description for Event ID 0 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
\Device\000000ab
Error occurred on GPUID: 100

Rma card now or just keep it ? I have card 3 months and never crashed driver and nvlddmkm after exiting Control.
Should i rma card or why that happened? Something with voltage, clock jumps? I read something on reddit that someone with Rtx 4090 had crashes driver after exiting games, too. But on my card it happened once. Thx

nvlddmkm.sys crashes are almost always a Timeout Detection and Recovery (or TDR) error, which is typically a Windows issue. An RMA is unlikely to fix anything with a TDR error, nor will reinstalling drivers or Windows in most cases. JayzTwoCents made a video on how to fix TDR errors, it's a great walkthrough that you can view that here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8OLhUAPDq0. In a nutshell, you increase the TDR delay in the Registy, and that should do the trick.

Really though, if it's only happened once, I wouldn't worry about it too much. If it becomes a repeat issue though, then it's time to start looking for a solution.

If it happens once I wouldn’t do the registry fix but if it happens multiple times I would consider it. It doesn’t seem like an RMA issue but as said before it’s more of a windows issue.

I would have ran DDU and reinstalled the NVIDIA drivers but it doesn’t sound like it would help but I figure it wouldn’t hurt.
