Hi Everyone !

I would ask a litlle question fom October 2019 since I ve built my Rig with EVGA Z370 FTW Motherboard.
Just to explain quickly, my Rear Exhaust Fan is a 4 pins Corsair 120 mm Magnetic Levitation and is plugged on the SYS_Fan Header, one of those that aren t Smart Fan Control Header Feature.
My issue is that I can t Control this one with SpeedFan Software whereas I can Control The 2 Other Ones that are respectivily plugged in the CPU2_Fan and the CHA_Fan and which they are Smart Fan Features (These 2 Last are Corsair 140 mm Magnetic Levitation Fans).
Just another information my AIO CPU Watercooling H100i Pro is Plugged in CPU1_Fan Header (which is allso a Smart Fan Control Header).

So, Can someone just explain me if it s a normal thing or if I ve missed something ?
Because I can easly control the 2 Other One with SpeedFan but Not the SYS_Fan (tuned to 100% in the BIOS and test with 0%).

Also I ve noticed than it s impossible to completly stop the fans rotation also wheen I set them to 0% in BIOS ? It could be a way ?
All the Fan Headers Are Plugged in the right orientation and all pins are correctly connected in the females Fans Headers.

Thank for the reading !
Waiting for your answers !

If you've set up SpeedFan correctly and fans/headers are recognized, you may have to go into the BIOS -> H/W Monitor Configuration section and set fans to 'Smart' or 'PWM' or 'DC' mode..Try and see what mode works, or not..Been a loooong time since I used SpeedFan.

Thank you for your answer Bob !

I would set the SYS_Fan as 'Smart' or 'PWM' or 'DC' mode but I can t because this option is only available for the CPU1_Fan | CPU2_Fan | CHA_Fan.
For the SYS_Fan and the others there is only a percent option and I can t select the fan mode like PWM Or DC even if they aren t Smart.
I agree with you that if it would be really cool and could solve the issue but it s a pity this option is nt available on the Z370 FTW.
I let you chheck on the screenshot in ATTM from the User Manual if have another idea maybe ?

Also you say you don t use SpeedFan from a long time OR you still use it again but since a long time ?
So which software are you using for now if you don't use SpeedFan ?
Maybe you only use the BIOS settings or another software like SpeedFan ?
I m use SpeedFan to Link the Fans Speed to the GPU Temperature and not to the CPU that is the only option in BIOS.

Thank for your patience !

I haven't used SpeedFan since I had a 790i FTW ages ago..I've had Asus boards since then and have used AI Suite with the included Fan Xpert control that works perfectly..Don't know what to tell you..SpeedFan is old and may not support or fully support your mobo..If some fan headers work with SpeedFan while others don't, you can get Fan Splitter Cables just about anywhere to connect two or more fans to one header, but be aware the max fan header rating is 1 amp on your board.

There is only PWM control for the one chassis header. You can only set static values for the other ones
