Hello everyone.

I own an X99 CLASSIFIED with an i7 6800K. For a while now, my computer is constantly freezing or doing tasks slower and it only unfreezes or does them faster when opening the task manager. I ran deep tests on all my ram sticks and they're ok. Do you guys have any idea what can be happening?

Thanks in advance.

run a security scan .... something is running in the background & if it is not visible In Task Manager ... that usually is Not a good indicator

Windows set to let other people get W10 updates through your PC ... Kill that

---> does it happen when you are Not on a network / internet ? .... pull the cable / kill WiFi

    Indexing can eat resources

    W10 updates in background ?

    BIOS up to date ?

What happens in safe mode ?

    I run a X99 Classy also

I formatted my computer last month so I don't think it's a task running in the background that's causing it.

What is that? Where can I find it and how to disable it?

    I'm using cable.

W10 updates in the background, yes.

BIOS was updated a year ago.

I didn't run it in safe mode. Should I use the things I do in safe mode to find out?

Test each stick of ram individually with memtest86. You said you did deep tests on your ram... with what software?

Sometimes software can miss things. I’d suggest using your system with only one stick of ram installed to see if you can isolate the freeze to a few sticks, or a single stick of ram. Test all your ram like that.

Agreed with Sajin, do a min component run (1 stick of mem, GPU, CPU, KB/mouse ONLY) and see if the freezes persist.  If not, add stuff back one at a time and see if you can find the faulty component.  If the min run is still laggy/freezing, you need to check to make sure all temps are okay and nothing is overheating/throttling.

I'm afraid that the problem might be on the SSD. I'm using a Kingston A400 SATA SSD. This is the test I did on it:

Isn't this result low for a SATA SSD?
