so i bought a 3080 ftw3 but i had some problems with it then i started a RMA and i choose cross ship option which means they will first send me the product and hold the money until i send them the original product. the problem is i just sold the original product and replacement product on its way already. so i wont be able to send back the original product to evga as i already sold it, in this case can i register the replacement product and have warranty? and what will happen if the buyer wanna do RMA ?

First question is why would you sell an item in the middle of the RMA process?
Not sure on the warranty part, but since the replacement carries the warranty of the first item, the buyer will probably not be able to register it at all.

    Hello

There is no complications to the RMA system. We expect our customers to abide by our RMA policies and return the product you stated was defective or the card you received. We request you send back the card you just received that started the RMA for since you no longer have the original. The RMA system is not a purchase system and violating our TOS in regards to RMA can restrict your future RMA's. I have marked your replacement for return and referenced this thread in the ticket placed on the account.

    Thank you.

Yikes. I can think of only one reason you would "sell" the card that is supposedly bad and being replaced under RMA. EVGA should contact the shipper and instruct return to sender. It can be done. I have done it with someone trying to pull a fast one me.

IF you keep the product, EVGA should deny you all warranty claims from here on out for all EVGA products you purchase.

What were you thinking? Why would you sell a supposedly broken product?

EVGA should also block the serial number on the card you sold, and advise the buyer to get a refund as the card should technically be considered stolen if you don’t return the replacement.

Sounds like he was trying to skip the queue to get more cards.

If you don't want to pay for the shipping, you should have terminated the RMA.

As to being able to RMA in the future, most likely your account will be flagged and all RMAs refused.

You should have worked that out with EVGA prior to selling the old product.

We apologize but no you cannot abuse our RMA policy like this. After further review it looks like we sent you a prepaid label via UPS.
