I accidentally removed the kingpin from my notify list a while back, any chance of the kingpin queue opening back up or is this card so limited that chance of getting it is done-so?

In a few months you might see a 3090 ti Kingpin Queue open up.

Your best bet at this point is to find someone who "upgraded" to a 3090 ti KP in a few months.

There is a 3090 KP Hybrid on ebay for $2800 right now.  That's only a few hundred dollars over the price of buying a new one with tax and shipping.

It would have a one year warranty as a second owner.  But, yeah.  Lots to spend for something used.

Rather not get a second hand kingpin with no warranty.

Why would it not have a warranty?  Kingpins are -KR designation, so the factory 3 year warranty is transferable as long as no one requested the 1000w bios with that serial number as to my knowledge thats the only way you void your warranty.

People on this forum and other forums who have requested the 1000 watt KP BIOS still have their warranty and completed an RMA.  So I'm not sure what the official stance on that is now.

My quote was a bullet point right after your quote, so I have no idea what the stance is anymore, they seem to contradict each other.

Either way I'd rather not pay scalper prices.

Failed post, but I would agree scalper prices are not a good idea.

I was just pointing out the section your referring to is only in reference to the Limited Warranty as it covers way more SKU's then the Transferable Limited Warranty which does allow for second hand purchases on select products.

i've been busy today, but i guess they opened a queue for something? you said the queue might open up, which could also mean it was open for 30 seconds and closed, same as all the other times they opened kingpin queues

edit: i think it would be a mistake to void warranties for using xoc bios aside from maybe blasting a card with voltage. there are ways to determine how a card was killed and there is a distinction between voiding a warranty vs denying an rma for provable customer-caused damage.

Apparently they opened the queue for the 3080 12GB for like 90 mins today and shut it down.

makes sense. i did see an eu link to a 3090 Ti family page last week but it has since been removed, and it didn't have any skus visible anyway

It doesn't contradict.  It says "here's the warranty (the whole page) and it doesn't apply to products purchased from unauthorized dealers (your quote) but NONETHELESS under some circumstances you can still transfer the warranty (his quote)."  Those include having the correct suffix (-KR works for 3 year warranty), providing proof of original purchase, having been originally shipped after 2011, etc.

All you have to do is just ask. Didn't even need to confirm I owned a KPE

It would have a one year warranty as a second owner.  But, yeah.  Lots to spend for something used.

Just to clear this up. I purchased my 3090KP HC used for MSRP price Of $2,089 plus taxes.

I registered my 3090 Kingpin, and I have the remainder of the full 3 year warranty.

It is registered to me, and I can use the warranty.

EVGA is the only company in the world for computer parts that honors the warranty, no matter if you are the second owner. Buying a used Evga product is the only used PC parts I recommend buying.

You can buy any 3090 Kingpin on eBay, or on forums. And then you can register the product on EVGA.com, and the remainder of the 3 years is covered under warranty for you! It is absolutely zero risk in owning a Evga product that is within the 3 year period of time. This is why broken Evga graphics cards fetch so much on eBay. Just an FYI.

Just upload your receipt, regardless of who it is from. It could be a PayPal transfer, or a ATM withdrawal. EVGA doesn’t care. My 3090 Kingpin was about $2,265 total, so you dang right Evga is gonna honor the remainder of the 3 years for me.

I hope this helps. Evga is really phenomenal.

Not true, every used Evga product I have ever owned always gets the remainder of the 3 years. And I have owned a lot of 2nd hand Evga products. Evga has never given me or anyone else trouble over it. Just register the item on the website and list your purchase date, and upload your receipt. whether it be from eBay, maybe it’s a PayPal funds transfer, whatever it is. And Evga will give you the remainder of the warranty.

Agreed on all of this. I, like some other people on the forums, will be putting my 3090 KPE on eBay soon since we just got into the 3090ti queue yesterday. All of the 3090 KPEs are less than a year and half old since they only came out in November-December 2020, and should all have remaining warranties unless it’s a B stock card which has only a one year warranty I believe.
