Help guys,
Today I changed my case porting old hardware from the other old case...changed just the cooker for the cpu...when I plug the power, the fourth ram stick does not be recognized, and the red led appears like in the pictures.

In the bios, v1.18 the total size of ram is 48 even tho it sees the fourth channel
Like in the pic...any idea what is causing the problem?

Everything run fine in the previous set up

Cpu: 9980 XE

GPU: SLI 2080Ti FTW3 Ultra Gaming

PSU: EVGA 1600

Bad Memory Stick or Bent CPU Socket Pin.
    What Motherboard is this?

Sounds like an issue with the connection between the CPU and the CPU socket.  Since you recently changed the CPU cooler, try loosening the CPU cooler mount bolts and make sure that they are tightened evenly.

For Windows 10, open up your task manager and go to the Performance Tab. Select memory and it will give you some channel stats, but it also has a "hardware reserved" section. If the computer decides to not use one of your memory modules because of errors it will blacklist it and that entire module's capacity will be placed into the "hardware reserved" count. A typical working computer would have a reserved count of 100MB or less generally. But a bent socket pin will cause errors, and the OS will blacklist the module and hardware reserve it's capacity too.

It's possible your module got knocked loose or maybe something leaked during the cooler change? I'd swap out the good/bad modules with each other and see if whether it is the module or the slot that stays bad.

    Have water, will cool.

Thanks guys, i’ve tried to unscrew a little bit the cooler not to be too tight and switch the ram modules and clean the sockets and everything went back to normal for now!

    Thanks again ;)
