I just installed an EK waterblock so its not as much an issue as when I was using the stock cooler but still annoying to see 2 fans at 33% & 1 fan at 0%. The 3 fans on my RTX 3080ftw3 ultra in Precision x are set at different speeds when set to minimum (see pic below for clarity). When auto is unchecked Fans 1 & 2 at the lowest setting are at 33%
but Fan 3 at the lowest setting is at 0%. (I switched to other bios and back and issue is still present).

I want to disable the fans or set them to 0% (Im using OC bios). Yes I realize there is nothing connected to the headers & they are not pulling any power from the gpu but there should be a way to set them to 0% or OFF, (actually once the fans are disconnected from the fan headers on the pcb PX1 should default to zero automatically). I have also tried to set all 3 fans all along the fan curve to 0 to no avail. Please give us a way to disable the fans altogether? Thanks

Unfortunately I cannot upload any screenshots to the forum, I tried both methods but it just shows the spinning circle & my pic never uploads. I assume though everybody has the same issue so EVGA should know what Im talking about. The fan issue is more of an annoyance than anything else.

EDIT: ITS BEEN 7 DAYS AND STILL CANNOT ATTACH PICTURES TO THE FORUM, ALSO NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FROM EVGA

I will eventually flash a higher power bios to it after I complete my temp comparisons & overclock comparisons on air & water but I thought you werent supposed
to flash a bios made for a different gpu? Besides EVGA should fix this, PX1 is not brand new software I imagine this is a simple fix just not sure why after so many updates
    this issue still remains

Flashing a vbios from a different card isn’t a problem when you have a card with a dual vbios switch.

Still no acknowledgement or fix to the picture upload issue in these forums, or to the issue with the software fan bug

What BIOS switch are you set to?  If you are set to the OC bios, there is no 0dB fan mode, so the fans are typically not going to have a range of 0-100, they will have a range of 33-100. Try switch to the Normal bios and testing that out real quick.

How are you attempting to link the image, because I can almost certainly say it is something you or Imgur are doing to cause the issue.  Take a look at how your link appears:

    https://forums.evga.com/%5Bimg%5Dhttps:/i.imgur.com/93tZLk8.png%5B/img%5D

The Imgur link is wrong inside the embed link.  HTTPS:/ is incorrect, and the isn’t something to forum typically changes.  It HAS to be HTTPS:// for two link to even attempt to work.

    applying brackets manually:

    applying through forum software:

Yeah, the image linking works fine, so it is something you are doing wrong.  Check your HTTPS:// before hitting submit. This is what happens when I use the link the same way you use it, so you are providing a broken link for some reason.  I would check Imgur to see why the link is being provided wrong.

Ok, I see what you are meaning by the image upload issue now, it isn't a linking issue that I mentioned above.  I misunderstood what you meant before.

As for needing to force a setting to set fans that don't exist to 0%, I don't think that is a real issue.  0% of 0% is still 0%.  There are no fans attached to the header, and they are not "running". X1 is not trying to turn a fan on, because there is nothing to turn on.  If you set them to run at 100% in the setting menu, they will still sit at 0%. In your screen shot, you say "Fans still running!" but they are not.  They are at 0.

Now, if you sell the card, and you have disabled the fans, and the next user switches back to Air cooling but doesn't know you disabled the fans. That is a terrible setting to have, as the fans should never be fully disabled.  When they are not attached, they are not drawing power.

I agree: EVGA should not provide a fan disable feature. The way it is, is the way it should be.

Also agreed. Imagine if you could do this to your water pump.

I dont think anyone that commented on my post actually read my post before they replied. For instance I specifically stated I was using the OC BIOS in my OP.

Also I specifically said that it wasnt as much of an issue but more of an annoyance, Making me OCD perhaps but its still a bug that should be fixed nonetheless. and yes I think there is a large enough customer base that uses waterblocks that there should be a setting to set the fans to 0% (for Hydrocoppers and 3rd party waterblocks.)
ESPECIALLY not having 2 fans at 33% while the 3rd fan is at 0%, that makes NO sense in any scenario & should be fixed (if I previously used the word running forgive me that was a mistake & the screenshot never posted so its a non issue, I left it there cause it was a dead thumbnail, you posted the SS.)Again I already explained I realize nothing is "running" obviously because the air cooler is disconnected in my OP.

If they can have a zero rpm until a specific temperature is reached (a feature I never agreed with & am annoyed by the quiet fan pc snobs) then they can implement this & it would be No more dangerous than that feature is.
A waterblocked GPU should never reach more than 50c, if they are that paranoid that someone might not know if they have an air cooler or a waterblock installed on their gpu than they could use a set temp limit but again not necessary.

Of course If I replace the cooler Im gonna set the fans, why wouldnt I and also if somebody bought my gpu and gamed on it without checking/setting the fan curve then they deserve to blow it up (common sense).

So this looks normal to you? Maybe its just bugged on my system and nobody elses but this just looks sloppy & annoying. I know the 3rd fan is screwy on this custom pcb, the way it shows up in HWinfo64 & other software, just as the 3rd power connector has its issues but Im sure this could be fixed in no time.

The screenshot posted without issue this time, Thanks EVGA for fixing that issue
EDIT: Actually the "insert image" method still does not work but I was able to use imgur this time, so that method works now.
