As the title suggests im curious if there is a way to just pay the full MSRP for your step up card and keep the one youd be trading in. My fiance got my old build with a 1060 3gb and has gotten into gaming enough that id prefer to give her my 2070 Super and either sell or gift a buddy my old 1060.

As far as I know you can't. You either accept the step up or get in the regular queue.

Unfortunately slaywhitey1326 is correct. The step up program is an upgrade program and is not to be used in any other way to obtain a GPU.

You will likely get one faster through the regular orders anyway, I have been notified twice for product availability back in October & November (one for FTW and one for XC model) that I requested when they went on sale at the same time that I entered the step-up program, and have yet to get step 2 for the step up.  So apparently they are only doing very limited amounts of step-ups.
