This happens to me also, I do an ATX power flush which another user with this issue figured out. When my middle fan spins up to max on boot, I go into the bios screen. I then turn off power with the case (ATX) power button (don't remove PSU power) and then hold for 10-15 seconds. Then I let go of the button and then push the case button again and it usually spins up normally after that (cool and quiet like it is supposed to be). This issue seems to happen with certain motherboards, including mine and I've put the card in a different PC and it doesn't do this. If I ever remove PSU power, the middle fan will spin up to 100% every time until I do the above-explained power flush.

I've installed the MCU updates and it doesn't fix the issue. I've even RMA'd my original and the replacement did the exact same thing. Other than that, it is a great card and I love it.

I just found this thread and I am also having the same problem. I'd hate to return another card, the first one I had did the same thing and so did the second one.

look up firmware update in the forums...  DON'T USE X1 Precision, .. I bet you opened it, and it said that you needed to update the firmware, and then it Failed.. and now you have power leds lit, middle fan 100%,  ACX sensors missing.. some or all of these....   if you have a 2080 TI FTW3 Ultra.. you need this.. it will fix... don't use x1 Prec ever again.
Won't let me post a link so search for 2080Ti_FTW3_E202.zip

     it's on storage.cdn.evga.com
Download, open zip, run .bat file, reboot.

If you have two gpus you will have to pull one and do them individually (one at a time).

    maybe now???
    url link below:

Question / IssueRTX 2080/2080Ti has LED or fan issues after running Precision X1 for the first time.
Answer / SolutionAfter running Precision X1 for the first time with a EVGA RTX 2080 or 2080Ti graphics card the program will automatically attempt to update the firmware of the card. If that update fails in some way, the card may exhibit erratic behavior including difficulty saving LED settings or having a fan stuck at 100% fan speed. If this issue occurs then you may need to apply a MCU (Micro Controller Unit) update in order to resolve the issue.

You can find the correct MCU update files at the links here:

I understand the reason why you posted to get to 10 posts to get the link posted but it's against the rules. It would be best to see if the tech would post a link or you can always post on other threads until you get to 10 post which doesn't take long at all. Just mostly wanted to give a warning since sometimes when posts happen like this it can be spotted for a ban since it can look like a spam account but in this case I understand.

Well I just deleted Precision and reflashed using the file in this post here https://www.evga.com/support/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=59742

Will see if this solves the problem or not. For the record the problem I've been having is on startup the middle fan will go to 100% and stay there, and theres some red LEDs towards the back of the card that come on. I believe these illuminate when the card is in "flash mode"
