My girlfriend got a 1070 Hybrid on ebay, it works although im wondering if we are able to use the warranty if needed during the remaining duration of the warranty. And if so what do we need to do? Also, can i activate the warranty on a card if i buy it on newegg if it is "Sold and Shipped by: [not Newegg]"? Thanks

Yeah i saw that page, but it isnt the most clear as far as the process for getting the warranty I personally have only ever bought new cards directly from Newegg or EVGA.

this has a little bit of info as well that I could find: https://www.evga.com/howtorma/ beyond that, you could also ask in the warranty section of the forums: https://forums.evga.com/EVGA-Warranty-Questions-f35.aspx as for if you can by through a second hand seller, I think the seller has to be an authorized reseller, a list of which you can find here: https://www.evga.com/prod...ereToBuy.aspx?t=OnlineI don't know for sure how third party sellers at places like newegg or amazon work for sure, but I might not be covered as being sold by newegg/etc. From what I can tell requesting an RMA requires filing a support ticket first, but beyond that I'm not 100% sure on how a second hand user RMAs a card., the warranty forum however should get you an answer fairly soon.

From: https://www.evga.com/warranty/graphics-cards/ Transferable Limited Warranty (Second-Hand Purchasers) Subject to the terms and conditions of this Limited Warranty, the Transferable Limited Warranty is available to second-hand purchasers with a valid proof of purchase from a reseller. The limited warranty on any Product which was originally shipped from EVGA or an Authorized Reseller as a demo or prize is not transferable to second-hand purchasers and is not covered by the Transferable Limited Warranty. Products shipped from EVGA as warranty replacements will be subject to this warranty so long as the original product was shipped from EVGA on or after July 1, 2011. The length of the Transferable Limited Warranty is determined by Product according to the suffix associated with each Product's identification number as set forth below and will be measured beginning from Product's original date of shipment from EVGA or an Authorized Reseller:
- 3 Year Transferable Limited Warranty Product Suffixes: -A1, -A2, -A3, -A4, -AR, -AX, -CR, -CX, -DX, -FR, -FX, -SG, -SX, -KR, -K1, -K2, -K3, -K4, -K5, -KB, -KA, -KF, -KM
- 2 Year Transferable Limited Warranty Product Suffixes: -LA, -LE, -LR, -L1, -LX, -T1, -T2, -TR, -TX
Products described by the following suffixes are not covered by the Transferable Limited Warranty: -B1, -BR, -BX, -DR, -RX, -RB So as long as you have an invoice and the warranty is still going you should be good. If I were you I would try to register the product with my account, check if the warranty is still going on and if needed contact EVGA customer support to confirm you can still ask for an RMA given the present informations and what you have in your possession.

Products purchased from a marketplace seller are considered second hand. The product needs to be registered to your EVGA account when you need to request warranty service and an invoice showing that you purchased the product uploaded to your account. Nothing else needs to be done to "have the warranty."

What happens if you get a GPU of local markets (like gumtree)? Would the original invoice from the first owner be valid for registering for the 2nd hand buyer's warranty?

Assuming the product qualifies for a secondhand warranty, you would register the product under your account. Because you are the secondhand owner, you would upload a copy of your proof of purchase from the previous owner. The original invoice would not be accepted.
