Can anybody tell me how a 2080 compares to a 1080TI in Folding?

I have a 1080 that is getting long in the tooth and do not want to spend the money on another 2080TI if a 2080 will match or out perform a 1080TI in folding.

    I don't have first hand knowledge but I think a 2070 will match a 1080ti.

    That's exactly what I'm seeing, so it stands to reason the 2080 would out perform a 1080ti.

    As the two above already stated, the 2070 and the 1080ti are on par with each other. Both get 1.0-1.1million ppd. I have one of each running.

    The 2080 should go to about 1.5-1.6m if I am not mistaken.

    That spreadsheet is a useful tool for comparing cards, but the numbers it posts are pretty consistently on the high side, unless you can seriously overclock your cards with reliability and keep them cool.
    It DOES give a decent "ballpark" estimate, if you drop about 15% from it's reported numbers for overall average on all work units as opposed to "cherry-picked HAPPY PPD" work units that are what are mostly reported.
     

    Now that vorsholk has stopped his abuse, I'm returning to folding.
     I no longer MOO due to abuses by certain "whales" in the Gridcoin community - so I now work the Distributed.net project directly again.

    The 2080 should be higher but i don’t know the exact numbers.

    Oh guess I never told you what I did, got a 2080TI XC from Best Buy.  12 months no interest worked for me.
