I want to put an X5650 or X5660 in here, can I run it? Also will it be able to run 24gb of ECC ram? If not what mod will I have to do, its out of warranty.

The Rev 1.1 boards have a mixed history.  Some say it works with the latest bios, so don't.  Your best bet is to simply try the CPU and if it doesn't work, you can contact EVGA at http://www.evga.com/about/contactus/ and I believe they still do Westmere mods for a nominal fee.
