Hello,
So this is actually my second 980ti as my previous one died, completely out the blue and i've never actually overclocked an Nvidia card before.
I've had this one for a long time now and wanted to see if I could get any extra performance out of it.
So I've been using Precision X & Valley to benchmark and overclock.
This is the progress I've made so far:
The GPU clock is 99% of the time at 1444 but the second i took this screenshot it went to 1431... but for the sake of discussion lets just say it's 1444 as this is what it seems to be 99% of the time.
If i try and increase the Clock offset to +100Mhz Valley will crash and the monitor will go dark, then come back on. (not a system crash)
If i try and increase the Memory offset to +100 it will also do the same, (i don't see the point in trying any less than this as it's not going to be a noticeable difference in performance)
Would increasing the voltage get me more memory clock? or maybe even get the clock speed to 1500?
Or would you suggest that I just accept this and leave it? Looking for someone with overclocking experience here to recommend what I do next, as with AMD cards it was pretty safe to add a little voltage, but i really don't know about these Nvidia cards.
The rest of my system specs are:
