The seasonal content change was initially due to take place on the 3rd of February but it will now end on the 11th of February instead. This extension is accompanied by double XP and double tier progression for battle pass ranks.
 
While season one is being extended unexpectedly, there won’t be a content drought. Infinity Ward has new challenges lined up that will earn players new weapons, including a Crossbow. Aside from that, there will be more remixed game modes and playlists too.
 
This should give players a bit more time for ranking up.

Probably got extended because so many people were complaining about how slow the battlepass season actually works.....
 it is super slow in leveling & uses some magic time based formula that differs than all the rest of the game leveling up... You literally have to be a pro streamer that gets paid to play for 10 hrs a day to make it all 100 lvls of the Battlepass season  .
 
As far as I saw, they only ran 1 weekend of Battlepass Double XP - all the rest so far have been regular soldier 2XP or weapon 2XP   ( which goes to soldier lvl 155 )
