Hi there,

I'm upgrading my older rig that has a EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G1. I want to hook up a large number of HDD's to it using the new Sata powercables from my new EVGA SuperNOVA 750w G5.
I do not want to fry the HDD's by using the wrong cables. I can't find any compatability pages for these two.

If they are not compatible, can you recommend any brands or what to look out for when buying cables to match the EVGA SuperNOVA 750W G1?

Kind regards,
Xioswar

I ran into the same problem when I had to RMA my old NEX750G to a SuperNOVA 750GT to use my older Sata power cables since they're slimmer and easier to work with. I couldn't find anything about compatibility between the two variants' cables. I just manually checked the pins using a Multimeter (continuity) if the pins match up on the other end of Sata power and compared it to my new cable and luckily they were exactly the same. I would do more research or even submit a support ticket if I were you just to make sure or you could do the same as me if you got the experience, which honestly is not that hard. Although be careful with "matching" with higher power cables, you need to at least match up the cable gauge for safety reasons.
