Mine.
This show me... If I upgrade to i7-5960X I need to OC him pretty much to reach single threaded performance of mine CPU.
But mine is not default it's 4.2/4.0GHz Cache.
But i7-6950X is completely different story. He is default as i7-5960X overclocked and default single threaded performance not far of mine OC.
Damn, guys common you should upgrade to X299 and sell to poor guys as me your i7-6950X.
We can say what we want, crippled PCI-E lanes, thermal paste,... but it's fact that X299 is now far better choice than X99.
X99 is excellent for people who can't afford CPU and high end Mobo.
Even 7820X with 28 PCI-E lanes is not bad as i7-5820K. Because chipset have 24 PCI-E lanes and they could install 2-3 M.2 connected to Chipset and dedicate sound card. But for X99 40 PCI-E lanes on CPU are necessary.
After installatation 2-3 M.2 i7-7820X still have more PCI-E lanes than i7-5960X if someone take his lanes and PCI-E slots to install more devices.
